I want ufr’s for the rose bowl
And I want them now dammnit!!!
Please, I need them, and I also need ffff, opponent watch, and the game preview asap.
so much to talk about this week yet limited front page content.
There’s nowhere else we can go to get this high quality free content folks. Or even anywhere we can pay to get this content really.

Speaking as a teacher in a district with negotiations this year I'd appreciate it if folks stopped electing crazies to the school board. We have one board member in our district who said "I don't care what happens in negotiations so long as those teachers don't get a pay increase."

Thanks, Seth. You don't owe us an explanation, but glad to have it nonetheless!
All this stress and chaos will make the game seem like a respite.

We love you, man! Enjoy every minute of all of this--especially being with the kids... and, oh yeah, sure, playing for the Natty!!! We've all got the shakes waiting for our next mgoblog fix... To paraphrase Harbaugh, you guys supply some "good shit" on here!

Seth, your work is outstanding whenever it gets posted. Same for the other staff on this incredible blog. As tough as it can be to wait for, it’s a rush when it pops. Thank you all!

I would have skipped the hoops preview but that's just me. And I'm saying that as someone who loves the basketball team as much as the football team. No sense in trying to write about that team during this week.
But thanks for the hard work you do. You deserve to be there in Houston watching us take home the title!

you’re a fucking legend Seth

Good stuff, thanks Seth. I figured your week was kind of like this (minus the other family stuff which is more important anyway).
It is a point of fact that being in LA takes time away from routine game week stuff. It is also a fact that:
1. Blog authors have to produce content when things aren’t easy and have for years and being able to enjoy when things are good is extremely deserved;
2. Brian’s activities the day after the game provided the meat of his game column, one I expect to read with fondness for many years to come. Picking up confetti. Walking through where Corum ran. The hairs on the back of his neck standing up.
We’re better off with you guys getting to go, but it’s worth it even if we aren’t. A just reward for years of making our fandom better.

Wow, I got tired just reading that. You da man Seth. Appreciate your efforts.
January 5th, 2024 at 4:27 PM ^
Thank you Seth for the explanation, and I didn’t really mean it as a tantrum but more tongue in cheek and to emphasize how great the content is!
Every week come Wednesday and Thursday and Friday I’m patrolling the front page for those specific items, especially after a big win, or any win for that matter, and devour it within a few minutes of publication, other deadlines be damned. After losses I bury my head in something else but get to them a day after they’re published.
January 5th, 2024 at 10:47 PM ^
yeah i got it, and was getting a little pissed for you that others didn't.
January 5th, 2024 at 4:28 PM ^
You 100% do not need to explain yourself to this guy. That said, I’m also glad you did because I really had no idea how many hours you guys put into this. Your passion is contagious.
January 5th, 2024 at 4:47 PM ^
Just our of curiosity, do you guys get media creds for the championship game, or are you going as fans?
January 5th, 2024 at 10:50 PM ^
Photogs as media. Bloggers as fans.
I did the B1G Championship as media, but it is septically quiet up in there, by design, which strips away all of the enjoyment of being in a stadium with your team. I couldn't imagine being at the Rose Bowl and not being *in* the Rose Bowl. And a national championship? I'd jump out the window at halftime just to hear the crowd.
I respect the hell out of journalists and the work they're doing up there, but my people are in the bowl.

I like lamp
I want National Title
January 5th, 2024 at 2:36 PM ^
Probably won't happen until after the Championship game.

Veruka Salt, is that you?

Washington previews are much more important than UFRs
January 5th, 2024 at 2:43 PM ^
If you would have looked at Seth's sticky above you would see his game plan for the week. UFR is not happening. He was going to do the ticket watch and hopefully a podcast on Sunday.
January 5th, 2024 at 2:44 PM ^
We need all of this stretched out over some time so that when the denizens of the Red Cedar or the Elven ones come to spy they will have something new to cry about.
January 5th, 2024 at 3:30 PM ^
Feel free to write one up. I hear it’s easy.
January 5th, 2024 at 3:30 PM ^
Feel like we'll have forever to think about the rose bowl. I'm trying to force myself to shift my thinking to the Washington game right now. Would love a FFFF. But get that people have a lot going on this week
January 5th, 2024 at 3:31 PM ^
There is full game films you can do ufr for yourself … really you can
January 5th, 2024 at 3:31 PM ^
You'll get nothing and like it!
January 5th, 2024 at 3:37 PM ^
Forget the UFR, what I want to know is, when are we getting a NEW MODERATOR ACTION STICKY?!?
I kid. (Thanks to the Mods for keeping this place in order.)
