Hello: Will Hart (PWO punter)
One more addition today: Will Hart, a punter out Cleveland, ranked as a 5-star by Kohl's Kicking.
EDIT: Looks like this is preferred walk-on #13 for 2016, according to Magnus's list.

There was a porn that came out in the early 2000s called "Good Will Humping." That always made me laugh, thought slightly less than "On Golden Blonde" and "Catcher in the Rear"...

was "Yank My Doodle, it's a Dandy"

I'd never heard of a "drop kick" in football before watching this video.

Our walk-on class might be able to beat some bad D1 teams. #HARBAUGH

D1, heck how about some B1G teams like Rutgers, Maryland, and Purdue.

Hart has considerable leg strength and good fundamentals, continuing to develop his consistency is key for Will going forward. Hart has a great frame and is getting better with his leg strength and his consistency. His hands are a bit slow right now but with improvement of his tempo and keeping his elbow tighter to the body he will continue to rise in the rankings. Hart has a D1 leg, he just needs to relax a little more when on stage at camp, his "A" ball is top 10 in the nation. Hart had his best camp in July of 2015.

Last I heard Allen is doing everything. I assume this dude and Nordin redshirt, and there's a fight to the death in 2017 for kicking duties.

Are we close to hitting a cap on PWOs? I thought a PWO was guaranteed a spot on the 105-man roster. 13 gives us only 7 open spots in 2016 including Glasgow, Allen and the 2015 PWOs etc. until schollies open up. Are these only 1-year guarantees? I assume "yes" or we have probably zero room for PWOs until the 2015 and 2016 kids roll off the roster.

This seems to come up in every thread on a PWO commit: The 105-man limit is only for fall camp; there's no limit after that. So there's no hard cap. That's not to say the coaching staff doesn't have some unknown limit on the number of walk-ons, preferred or not.

If there's no limit beyond fall camp, why don't we just sign 100 walk ons. You'd have a great chance at getting a productive player.
February 3rd, 2016 at 9:01 PM ^
You still have a limited number of coaches, practice time and space. I think we have usually ended up with around 115 players on the roster.

A rather highly rated group of walk-ons in addition to the rather highly-rated class of players that were offered scholarships....that should make everyone smile that much more really. It is definitely something that seems consistent with this staff's vision of having nothing except the best available and the best competing for a chance to play no matter where.
Welcome to Michigan, Will Hart!

Shocked this kid didn't pick up a scholarship invite or did he turn it down to play for JH?

I did a quick search earlier, and all I could find is that he originally committed to Colgate in September.

Actually Colgate's football team is pretty decent - made it to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs this year.
If he got into Colgate he is pretty sharp, too. Colgate is one of the top colleges in the country.

He is a combination of Will Carr and Mike Hart at Punter.
As long as they teach him to just fall on the ball on a muffed snap...., he will be ok.

Kornblue Kicking's Top-50 rankings have Will Hart as the 13th best overall punter and a 4.5 star rating. Nordin is ranked as the 8th punter overall (1st overall Kicker) and a 4.5 star as well. I don't know when these lists were updated last or how much exposure these kickers/punters get from the different sites but it's somethin to look at.

He has will, and he has heart. What a combo.

Let's hope this Michigan punter named Will will have more willpower than the last Will who punted for Michigan.
