Sounds like we've got a bouncing baby slot reciever.

I think you underestimate the power of whole milk.

none of this candy-ass formula

Breastmilk cures most anything.

I think you mean John (YTJH) Harbaugh.

Got damn it you beat me to the exact same thread title except I wasn't going to use the not that part. On TKA Marcus just said he'll be Harbaugh's first recruit in Harbaugh's last year, 2035. Big time qb, early enrollee, coming in from Pioneer. haha.

on time is late, and early is on time! Congrats to Coach and Mrs. Harbaugh and the family!
January 11th, 2017 at 4:49 PM ^
Wow that's a tiny little guy. Wishing good health to him and to Sarah. Congratulations to all the Harbaughs!

I suspect that with Coach's preferred food regimen of whole milk and steak, he doesn't stay that tiny for long.

Things Jim Harbaugh and I have in common:
- Our fathers both call themselves Jack.
- Our fathers both have sons named John.
- We both have sons named John.
- We both had a kid this week. Mine checked in at 9 lbs, 9 oz, so she can totally beat up Jim's kid, unless little John is already capable of attacking with enthusiasm unknown to mankind. In that case, my girl is screwed, because she's not enthusiastic about anything except eating, pooping, and sleeping.
- Oh yeah: we both bleed Maize and Blue!
Congrats to Sarah and Jim! There's nothing like the love you feel for your newborn child!
GO BLUE!!

"... she's not enthusiastic about anything except eating, pooping, and sleeping."
Welcome to my world.
(And congratulations.)

You're only enthusiastic about eating, pooping and sleeping?
January 11th, 2017 at 5:26 PM ^
Uh, yeah... you act like that's not normal or something...

Only 44, so I suppose that the above joys aren't the ONLY ones I ever partake in...
But they are some of the finer things in life.

You're going about this wrong. How about date? Then you can get some free tix and sit in the Harbaugh box. And hang out with Jim. He'll still be coaching here in 20 years.
Will you allow your daughter to date by age 20??
January 11th, 2017 at 5:47 PM ^
Shit, you're right! This is a much better plan. Is little John Harbaugh going to be into older women though? My daughter is literally ten times as old as he is right now.

totally hear you MGoBrewMom. I miss those days of baby/toddler falling asleep on you.
Got two alien beings now, 14 and 19. I try to tell them how cute they were way back when... how they used to LIKE to hear me sing...

Came on the last day of the dead period, so as not to interfere with Dad's recruiting schedule

Hope the the little guy is healthy!
He was supposed to be born February 6th.

I think you are right with the 3 week timing. It is hardly even considered early anymore. Cetainly not premature.
January 11th, 2017 at 6:42 PM ^
for us humans just a generation ago.
January 11th, 2017 at 10:06 PM ^
My kid was 4 weeks early, and barely considered premature. But he did need a shot of surfactin to get his lungs to open up. Spent 12 hours with a ventilator stuck down his throat. I hope Little John didn't have to go through that, mostly because its harder on mom and dad than the kid.
Congrats to the Harbaugh's!!!

All weight gain is good weight/muscle. So that 2lb's will really bulk him up.
January 11th, 2017 at 5:29 PM ^
That's pretty ok nowadays. He'll be in the NICU as a precaution for a while most likely, but odds are good there won't be any issues. Anything past 34 weeks now is pretty manageable.
January 11th, 2017 at 5:38 PM ^
As a totally anecdotal point of reference, my first kids (twins) were delivered by C-section at 35 weeks and 6 days, pretty close to little John Harbaugh's gestational age. One of my twins (also a John!) was 4 lbs, 15 oz, so pretty close to Jim's new boy. They spent only 10 hours in the NICU as a very minor precaution and left the hospital with us after just a couple days. Nearly three years later, they're doing great. You'd have no idea they were premies. So happily, I concur: there's no reason to think little John shouldn't be perfectly healthy! :D
January 11th, 2017 at 5:40 PM ^
how they take care of preemies these days. Congrats to the Harbaughs!
January 11th, 2017 at 5:51 PM ^
Interesting thing about twins, that. Having a roommate is actually stressful so they tend to come along early and mature (but small) for their age.
