Our 2019 RB class is KILLER. Program changing if it stays this way

Zach Charbonnet 6-2/215. Powerful but still good speed. This dude looks like a surefire stud and has steadily climbed the rankings.

Eric Gray 5-10/191. Speedy and elusive

Giles Jackson 5-8/175: Ive read that he is either THE fastest guy in 2019s class or at least one of the fastest. Could be lethal in the Slot or running

Wiltfong just tweeted:

"Coach Terrance Leonard from TMP Elite says new #Michigan commit Giles Jackson is the third-best player to ever come through their program behind Joe Mixon and Najee Harris"

Najee Harris and Joe Mixon is pretty good company to be in with

O.k., some good really commits this week for Michigan.  All good.

One a related (sort of) question...   Is it weird that OSU, MSU, and Wisconsin have no QB committed to their classes for this cycle?

Some may say that they are all set at the QB position with guys currently on roster, but every class should have at least one QB (as M learned the hard way in the RR and Hoke eras), right?

With injuries and then transfers from guys that don't win the starting job...  Seems like you have to have a QB in every class, with only very rare exceptions to that rule.

What are you talking about? Wisconsin has Graham Mertz committed (top 100 pro style QB). He's really good and Michigan recruited him for a while trying to get him to flip before he blew up and solidified his commitment to Wisconsin. OSU has Dwan Mathis committed, who is a pro style QB from the state of Michigan. Mathis used to be committed to MSU which is why they don't have one at the moment but I'm sure they're on the lookout for a QB as well.

MSU got blindsided losing Mathis IMO.  They flirted with a lower-ranked kid from TX but (they say) he wasn't a good fit - he committed to a non-P5 school shortly after his MSU official.

I would guess they will keep their eyes open for a late riser.  Despite what the RCMB experts say, they are paper thin at QB.  The true Frosh from MI may have some potential but I am not sold on the Sophomore (Lombardi?) as anything other than "just a guy" going forward.  That is the entire Scholarship QB room.

I know some people on here claim Jay Harbaugh has his job based on nepotism, but he seems to be working his ass off on the recruiting trail. Two kids from Cali, and one from Tennessee, and they are all studs and rated higher than any back currently on the roster when they signed.

Excited for Giles--and the athleticism he and Eric Gray will bring.

Here's hoping Jim and Pep are watching Andy Reid at work in NFL.  While they may not have his top-end speed, Tyreek Hill has a similar frame and elusive style that are game breaking.  Chris Evans has similar skills, but lacks the low center of gravity that helps successfully break more arm tackles.

Late to the party. Been busy. Yeah this kid can move. What the heck is that skip and then puts on the after burners and blows everyone away. An awesome addition boys. Awesome!!
