So cool to see a " local" kid have a shot. Hope it turns out good for both the team and for Ben. Congratulations!

Well, you need intelligent and unbiased refs for that. Don't count on it.

Laughing out loud and grinning as I watched the first 30 seconds on Hudl. This kids going to be good. Awesome poaching job. Love when this staff steals Iowa's goods.

For all the star gazers I promise you he is not a 4.76 kid, he can move and has ran laser times in the mid 4.5's. He's a absolute workout freak, and is much larger in person than he looks on his 247 page. This kid will be a legit player in Maize and Blue. If he played in the Detroit area his is a 4 star all day long. Please stop the negative comments, about stars. This kid has worked his tail off for this and deserves his shot.

no... he ran a laser time of 4.76. This is not to say that he isn't athletic, but lets at least get our facts straight. Check his times from the actual Nike Opening site.

link please? Laser timed 40s is not something any old HS coach pulls out and times their kids with as far as I know. Most camps don't even use them, just the big ones. That's why so many kids don't report laser times, just hand times.

Not saying he won't be good or I don't like him as a prospect. But I'm not going to take too much out of dominating DiV5 MHSAA competition. He is, however, a big, strong, smart kid with good hands and decent speed. I think year one will be mostly special teams, but after that I could see him playing a role in our offense.

Reese posted some pro-Michigan stuff this weekend, a pic of him in Michigan gear. Hopefully that's a good sign, but who knows.
On yet another topic, Andrew Lind (OSU/11W contributer) switched his crystal ball for Tyler Friday back to Michigan. Last week he and Brian Dohn had picked Ohio State for him, causing some consternation.
