Busting out of work at 1:30 and then firing up the pellet grill for some smoked chicken wings and a nice beverage or two. Is football here yet?
Happy Friday fellow Bloggers!!!
This one never gets old!
Go Blue!!! Are two bye weeks something new? I thought normally there was only one.
Early Labor Day and late Thanksgiving leads to two byes (I’m half guessing). Not looking forward to my non AC’d house in Ann Arbor this weekend.
Thanks. More sleep/coffee I may have thought of that myself!
No AC? I hope you find somewhere to keep cool this weekend, Scanner. 95° today and 97° with dewpoints in the upper 70's is downright dangerous.
What did you do with the keys to Yost Ice Arena ????
You might be onto something Rob... open Yost as a cooling spot for Art Fair people in the know. I'd pay a buck to lie on Red's ice sheet. I'll talk to Mel and Kevin the ice/zamboni guy to make it happen.
Ouch, no AC. Here's a cool bang for u.
I kind of love our bye weeks this year. Coming home to Notre Dame from Happy Valley is tough, but byes before Wisconsin (and after Army) and before MSU are super nice.
Agree 2 weeks of rest is super nice especially in key spots.
I have to go a family thing in Columbus tomorrow, and can only imagine what cooler poop smells like when it's 97 degrees. Send T's and P's, and a bang or two.
I would hope they put you in the fridge rather than a cooler there in Columbus, KoolAidGuy.
Or is that even safe?
Be careful with the phrase “family thing in Columbus”. That’s easily misconstrued.

can only imagine what cooler poop smells like when it's 97 degrees
it smells like osu stadium would be my guess
The fact "cooler poop" is a thing says all you need to know about ohio.
At least one more point than every one of our opponents is all that it takes!
Go Blue! Happy Hot Friday! Try to keep cool!
Excited for the football.
May OSUs performance travel back to the mean and lose the close games they always seem to win!
I'm the only one in the office today. Need music recommendations please.
July Talk - Picturing Love
*found out about these guys watching a Canada mob show on Netflix
I’ve gotten into Sirius classic rewind. Cars, dire straits, guns and roses.... pretty good not too loud for the office.
Human music
My go-to station when not listening to a book during my 1:15 commute...
Modest Mouse or Arcade Fire
Sunset rubdown and tapes n tapes... built to spill.
grossly hot and humid already, I don’t envy those of you who work in hot factories or outside. Stay hydrated everybody.
Go Blue!
Going to Traverse City this weekend. It is my first time there so I am pretty excited. Hopefully it will be at least slightly cooler than what Jackson is predicted to be!
Try to find xtramelanin swimming in the west arm of the bay before he goes home tonight to do some grilling and hot chores. Are you bringing your mountain bike for some good sweating?
going swimming right after court this afternoon. hopefully many of the XM kids will join me. BBQ and a late birthday celebration for the youngest this evening. he doesn't know it, but he's getting his first real bike - and the avatar twins are the ones who actually taught him how to ride one. this will go over big.
we had such a hard rain around sunrise this a.m. that i got out my ark plans in case it didn't stop.
I still remember going to my grandparents in SW Detroit on my seventh birthday and getting my first non hand-me-down bike. A Schwinn with a banana seat and hi rise handle bars.
oh, i remember those schwinns with the banana seat.
i have a feeling that when little DJ sees the bike he's going to start yelling in joy and run around the house.
Many nice things to do in Traverse City itself, but make time if you can to explore Mission Point peninsula. Lots of nice views and attractions there (wineries, parks, museums/lighthouse, etc.) Also, there is a Jolly Pumpkin there that serves some kind of curry-flavored potato chips that are awesome - and not served at any of the other Jolly Pumpkins (that I've found so far). They sell them in prepackaged bags also since many people want to take some home too.
God's country .... you'll have a blast
I'm in dire need of some banging. Got a 5-3:30 shift in the plant today. It's already 90+ in here. Go Blue!
I used to work in an automotive supplier rubber plant in Auburn Hills. The only thing that saved me during weather like this was working the midnight-8 shift.
That rubber plant really aged you.
No work today, taking the MGoFamily to Crystal Mountain for a few days. Having some coffee and watching The Open in the meantime. Can’t wait for football!
Letttssss gooooooooooo!
Who's got it better than us???
Thanks for posting that schedule, OP, it reminded me that I still need to order up a couple road game tickets soon for the Illinois game. And that Wisconsin game looks mighty tempting, too.
Only 43 days...
https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/there-are-687
... until the home opener, according to JWG Wolverine's "There Are..." countdown. 7 weeks from tomorrow until tailgating and MICHIGAN FOOTBALL returns!
〽️〽️〽️ POSBANG!!!
I'm at home MgoWorking today because... Well, why not?
Should be a balmy 100 in VA this weekend. Thank God the global warming isn't a thing, or it would really be hot!!!
(/s for those not following...)
It's HOT in NC!
I just got back from a 4 mile walk with my dog and he beat me back to the car, started it, slammed the AC on high--and--was wearing my sunglasses.......
I don’t believe you
guessing you chill your kahlua and tomato juice this time of year.....
Yes.XM--
Just add Ice Cubes containing Cucumber Vodka (shaken not stirred).....
But you knew that.....
Great weekend for the indoor sports, in the A/C. Be ready, Mrs. H.
New IT Chapter 2 trailer released yesterday, looks like it's going to be really good!
My daughter and grandkids just arrived from Peru for a visit... it’s a great Friday! I have a blessed MGo life, all the way, met my MgoWife in A2, all our kids have MGoDegrees, their MGoSpouses are grads, even our granddaughter is an MGoHospital baby! Wherever you go Go Blue!
what a cool legacy. good on you, bo.
Thanks xm, sounds like you have a wonderful legacy in the making...if i could, it would be worth +1M MoGoPoints. Kids/Grandkids/neices/nephews are why we do what we do!
