Guest Picker on ESPN's College Gameday: Mr. Chow

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on October 29th, 2021 at 8:31 PM

I was guessing Magic Johnson or James Caan, but the ESPN College Gameday guest picker tomorrow will be Ken Jeong (Mr. Chow, of course).

He has no known ties to either school, but he was born in Detroit, so I guess that's the Michigan connection. I'm hoping he brings Alan along.

Fucking Gibson...  I was on the boat that night, was the guy responsible for the entire front half of the thing, when the Dodgers trotted him and his gimpy leg out of the dugout to pinch hit.  The mess deck was full of crew mates watching the drama, and I yelled out 'games over, he'll strike out - watched him for years with the Tigers, its what he does'.

What an asshole.

But I can easily admit that it's one of the defining moments of baseball's many walk off moments...

This is my favorite show of all time. It’s absolutely brilliant writing, however very “meta”.

The first episode is literally just establishing the characters and doesn’t have a whole lot of depth to it. I would immediately watch two or three more to see if it’s your cup of tea. If you’re anything like me you’ll get hooked pretty quick.

I think its great...he's that one guy from that one thing. It's all about entertainment with these selections, why not? I will actually tune in to watch it, if only to calm my nerves for a bit.

Can we just be done with the singing shows for a few years?  I mean, after the first 5-6 years of American Idol, the whole thing went downhill.

Blah...  I literally cannot remember the last time I watched network TV when it was actually on a first run.  Unless the wife DVRs something that we watch later, I'm not watching it if its on network TV.  And, to be honest, whatever the wife DVRs is not something I'll watch on my own.

BTW, present me with a show that has a laugh track, and you can fuck right off...

It'll be entertaining at least, though this remains my favorite "guy who was born in the state but otherwise doesn't really have any connection to the schools involved" (it was #1 FSU vs. Okie St.)

I am already pretty "on edge". A funny and completely random guy who doesn't make me think (and probably will not even talk) about either school will probably cut the tension a bit.
