Guess Today's Hoops Score - Be Loved by Wolverines, Feared by buckeyes
Mates,
Big, big game today. Win and we are looking very solid to win the B10. Lose it, and our path to the championship is still there but way more rocky. I have seen spreads that ohio was favored by as much as 2.5 points, but at least this morning, ESPN has us as 1.5 pt favorites. Today's question is simple:
1. What will the score to this afternoon's basketball game be (and who wins)?
I will confess some BPONE about the game given how hot ohio has been, but we're a heck of a team. Time to prove it.
Have a glorious Sunday,
XM

76-73, good guys.
February 21st, 2021 at 9:29 AM ^
A lot to a little, in favor of Michigan.
Fuck Ohio.
February 21st, 2021 at 9:32 AM ^
My prediction is controversial officiating.
February 21st, 2021 at 11:21 AM ^
Only if it goes against UM. Otherwise, fairly called contest. UM 72 - OSU 69
February 21st, 2021 at 9:32 AM ^
Just hoping for a good game XM, and no questionable calls the fanbases can blame for an L. May the best team win, and players stay healthy. Go Bucks!

11W called, you’re needed!
February 21st, 2021 at 10:43 AM ^
More of the faithful for the echo chamber? It's like getting news from twitter.
February 21st, 2021 at 9:41 AM ^
good to 'see' you OR, and a very laudable post. however, with my maize and blue filters on i have to correct your last word: it's Go Blue!
February 21st, 2021 at 9:43 AM ^
If the best team wins - it will look a lot like the hockey game last night. Go blue!
February 21st, 2021 at 10:39 AM ^
Ya just never know.. hoping for more of Friday's hockey outcome today. Regardless.. hoping for a great game!
February 21st, 2021 at 10:42 AM ^
I wonder what the reception would be if Michigan fans posted on the osu board?........Never mind, UM fans woudn't go near that place
February 21st, 2021 at 11:17 AM ^
Ugh... UM fans do in fact post on 11W.. fairly regularly..
Regardless.. if your reaction to (gasp) a rival fan's friendly post is instant disdain, that says more about you and your narrow view of the world than anything else... you know it's possible to have respectful interactions with other fan bases, right?
February 21st, 2021 at 11:52 AM ^
And the reception is? You just skipped over that.......
February 21st, 2021 at 12:13 PM ^
If you're not being a dick and post a respectful or insightful comment... generally a pretty good reception. Ask Maine Strength, or whatever his handle is on here.. he posts quite a bit, and usually recieves upvotes for his thoughts.
Of course their are people that downvote someone from the "otherside" immediately.. see my comment above getting blasted.. and that's what's wrong with America, but that's another converation altogether.
Have good Sunday, and hope we can all watch an enjoyable game my man.
February 21st, 2021 at 12:29 PM ^
Assumptions are also what's wrong......not all posters or sports fans are men. Go Blue!
February 21st, 2021 at 12:58 PM ^
My bad on the assumption... Let's hope for an enjoyable game this afternoon my fellow sports lover!
February 21st, 2021 at 5:45 PM ^
OR, hoping you come back to this thread, question for you. Seemed like to most of us at the officiating favored your team, particularly the whole thing about you guys getting and ones, meanwhile we get called for charges and blocks no matter what we did. I’m sure some of those homerism, but I think we’re fairly objective and some of it was not. So my question is simply this: did you or perceive that also?
February 21st, 2021 at 6:02 PM ^
Didnt get a chance to watch much of the second half... my 4 year old wanted to go sledding.. and I just can't argue with her on that, right? It did seem like OSU was getting more of the 50/50 calls for sure, I can't deny that. UM was shooting lights out from behind the arc, and OSU didn't have a response down low for your center (great player, his name is escaping me right now). Overall a good team win for you guys.. no question about it. I'll be rooting for both teams come March, unless/until they meet again in the tournament!
February 21st, 2021 at 6:33 PM ^
sledding is key this time of year, and good on you dad going up and down the hill with dear child. and if i was going to be on the losing end of a tough game then 1000x even better to skip that game and go sledding.
you are a good egg. 10/10 would have a meal or beverage with you. see you in AA in 20??.
February 21st, 2021 at 10:00 PM ^
10/10 would have a beverage or a meal with you as well... some of my best friends are UM fans, I don't get the instant animosity either of our fanbases displays towards the other... we're all just people... rooting for a team.
If I ever get Up North, my little one would love to see the farm.. hint hint! Might do her some good to milk a cow, her Dad as well. LoL.
February 22nd, 2021 at 5:06 AM ^
we have muckers to fit nearly all sizes, so we can put you right to work. had the discussion last night at dinner about the timing and amount of livestock reloading. looks like sheep are going to get the nod this week. not set on cattle yet, i have to figure out who/how many for sale.
i would add that we have a couple of pretty tremendous sledding hills on the farm, so if you/she come up in the next month or so, we've got you covered in that regard as well.

This is a Michigan sports’ fan site. To expect people to like your neutral comments as an osu fan is naive and not bright. This is the Internet - choose where you invest your time wisely. if you are sensitive, don’t be a fool and post on the rival fans’ website.
February 21st, 2021 at 1:01 PM ^
Since that is your team, I cannot blame you. But none of us want the inferior team to eek out a win today like Friday’s fluke.
February 21st, 2021 at 3:28 PM ^
So the best team won after all! Just like hockey - and women’s hoops. The day, the weekend, and the year belongs to Michigan!
February 21st, 2021 at 6:04 PM ^
See you in November then, LGB????
It was a good game from what I saw... props to UM for the win.

At FanDuel they have taken the point spread off the books
February 21st, 2021 at 9:57 AM ^
One of two things:
1) Either Michigan comes out and looks like it’s still a game or two away from getting back to where it was pre-layoff and loses a close but incredibly frustrating game 71-65. OSU makes free throws down the stretch to put the game out of reach, and the hand-wringing around here about how this school can never beat its rival in a moment that truly matters will be nauseating.
2) Michigan comes out, makes a statement and wins by 10+. I don’t disagree that OSU is a very good team, but Michigan has a higher ceiling and if both teams play their best game, then I think that means Michigan wins, regardless of who’s court the game is played on. I hear all this talk from OSU fans about how Holtmann “gets the rivalry” and is so special because he all of a sudden decided to start issuing gold jerseys for wins over Michigan. I’m not dogging him for that. Whatever motivates your team. But it seems the narrative down there is as if Howard doesn’t give a crap about this rivalry compared to Holtmann, when the guy actually played in it. I have no doubt that Juwan wants this as bad as anyone. More than any of us, for sure.
I have no idea which one of these will happen, so let’s go with what makes me happy and just see #2 happen.
February 21st, 2021 at 12:05 PM ^
This is exactly how I feel. I think Michigan is the better team but I unfortunately feel OSU is playing better basketball because of no lay off.
February 21st, 2021 at 10:04 AM ^
79-73 M. Bucks make their share of 3s but Dickinson has a big game down low.
February 21st, 2021 at 11:03 AM ^
Hunter should clean-up if they play him straight up. They have nobody to match his height/length down on the block. If they try to double him, then they'll have to take their poison elsewhere.
February 21st, 2021 at 10:05 AM ^
73-71 good guys.

OSU 100, Michigan 14.
No, wait, wrong sport.
February 21st, 2021 at 11:01 AM ^
The end of the football season thankfully came early enough to avoid that one....
February 21st, 2021 at 10:39 AM ^
71-67 good guys
February 21st, 2021 at 10:58 AM ^
I don't trust the refs if its a close game, therefore we must trounce them thoroughly...
Mich 86 - 61
February 21st, 2021 at 11:00 AM ^
I have no idea so I’m going to guess with my heart 73-72 UM.
OSU is such a unique team I really can’t decide which matchups favor which team. Ultimately, as they say, defense travels and I think that will be the deciding factor.

87 - 71 Michigan

73-68 good guys

2 pt swing today on the line...money coming in on Michigan's side. I'm taking Ohio St. by 7...68-61. Not a bad game by us but I think they (Washington, Ahrens) hit more shots than we can sink today and it's essentially a 1-2 possession game most of the way, or it is late...and Ohio St. hangs on with timely shooting and good play from Liddell.
February 21st, 2021 at 12:16 PM ^
We're for real. If we bring our 'A' game, we win. Our defense is persistent and disruptive, our offense multifaceted.
'A' game 88-68
Slightly less 'A' game, 74-68
February 21st, 2021 at 12:29 PM ^
78-72 UM
February 21st, 2021 at 12:44 PM ^
I'm gonna be that guy.
Ohio State - 77
Michigan - 69
I sincerely hope that Juwan & crew make this post age poorly.
