At first I was going to go 31-17 but after what MSU said about us after the B1G commissioner asked them if they still wanted to play us. I'm going to go 70-3, M will be pissed about this and the tunnel incident last season.

So if MSU said they were unwilling to play us would the forfeit be on us and count as a loos?

27-24 Michigan

This prediction is not affected by the Vast Network nonsense... it's been my hunch since before the season began that this game was going to be much more competitive than most Michigan fans think. I've seen a few too many losses by highly ranked Michigan teams to unranked MSU teams to ever dismiss the possibility that Sparty can play way over their heads. I also believe that NCAA refs have a pickle up their ass about Harbaugh.

If anything, this sign-stealing horseshit might well give Michigan a psychological edge, but we'll see.

Sparty hardly ever gets truly blown out in this game. Its never a 52-7 affair, and I have a hard time believing that's going to change this time around. Especially if Dantonio is on the sideline as I envision that he will be.

I'm going to guess 38-14 or 38-17. Sparty will have one of its patented early "kitchen sink" drives with a trick play or two that they've been working on since the Spring that will result in a TD, the crowd will be roaring and that this will be their night, but Michigan will slowly and methodically strangle the life out of them. MSU will score 7-10 in garbage time to make the score look better, but I do think the score will be something like 17-7 or 21-7 at the half, where Michigan is essentially in control but we'll all feel like we left 10-14 points on the board.

I do not think Michigan covers. It'll probably be a comfortable win, but I would be shocked if Michigan conducts a wire-to-wire blowout. In fact I'd say a 2016 repeat of Michigan essentially being in control but MSU fighting and clawing its way to a respectable-looking 34-21 is more likely.

As the week goes on I feel like there has been some preparation in practice during the season for this game. Preparation for burial.

My prediction is Michigan leaves no doubt with a strong win showing they are a superior team and program...and...RCMB will have multiple threads by morning about how they would have won if Michigan hadn't cheated.

63-13 Michigan.

MSU will boast that they scored more points against UM than any other team this year and give all the players special rings to commemorate this “win”.

I’m not looking forward to this game. All our guys will be keeping their heads on a swivel for the entire game because they know cheap shots are coming. Because of that, I expect our offense to be a little less aggressive than normal, which will bring the score down.

MSU will earn a touchdown, be gifted a touchdown in garbage time, and add a field goal.

31-17 and Sparty loses with dignity.

34-17 Michigan. A comfortable win, but no cover. MSU gets a TD early in the first quarter and a TD in the fourth after it's Tuttle Time at 34-10.

It'll be reasonably uncomfortable at halftime, I'll say 17-10. I'll continue to take "Opponent plus points" in the first half. This time, I have MSU +14 at DraftKings (bought the half-point).

This one is so hard to predict.   Last year I thought we were going to smoke them and we ended up with a comfortable 3 TD win in an extremely boring game.   I think their strategy on offense will be to slow the game down as much as possible.   Consistently run the play clock down to 5 seconds before snapping and run a lot of short passes mixed equally with some runs and they will almost certainly bust out a trick play or two.   On D I expect them to play soft coverage and put 8 in the box.   Last year they did a real good job of limiting explosive plays.

Worst case scenario is a replay of the first half against Rutgers last year.   In that scenario I don't see them imploding they way Rutgers did and I say that in spite of their last game implosions against Iowa and Rutgers.  Even if they play a clean game and win the turnover battle, they just don't have enough on either side of the ball to handle our firepower for 4 quarters.

At the half I'm going 14-7 Sparty.  Final score 31-17 UM wins.  Now, if we get off to a fast start and the turnover margin is even or in our favor, this game could be ugly.   With that scenario I am going with 45-10 UM.

UM - 63

MSU - 7

I see MSU winning the toss, driving 85 yds for TD on opening drive, then we fumble on ensuing drive, MSU misses a field goal, etc.  The usual first half shenanigans, UM up 14-7.  2nd half is a bloodbath.

I’m going to go against my gut because this team, led by JJ, feels strong to start on the road.

Michigan wins 42-7 and they come out shot out of a cannon and go up 14 really quick.

I just have this feeling it won’t be a slow start game and they come out ready to just demolish msu.
