Could they have picked a more boring color for their championship cup? Makes sense for a boring league I guess

Rolls Eyes.
This response to the OP is dumb and you should be sad you wrote it.
CFL football is many things but "boring" is not among them.
Edit: The Grey Cup itself, which I have seen up close, is actually a rather shiny silver.

That is cool, but I'd rather watch Tom Brady play against the Cowboys. We don't know how many more games the legend has left.

I'd rather watch Edmonton vs Saskatchewan than whatshisname Driskel and the Detroit Lions.

Any players w Michigan connections in the cfl?

Craig Roh is on the Injured Reserve list for Winnipeg. No one for Hamilton. IDK about the rest of the league

There have been a few (Devin Gardner was with Saskatchewan for part of 2018), but not aware of which ones currently.

Really? You couldn’t read the first 3 posts and figure it out?
November 24th, 2019 at 7:18 PM ^
wow the Grey Cup is 110 years old?
November 24th, 2019 at 7:26 PM ^
Per wikipedia:
“The trophy was commissioned in 1909 by the Earl Grey, then Canada's governor general, who originally hoped to donate it for the country's senior amateur hockey championship. After the Allan Cup was later donated for that purpose, Grey instead made his trophy available as the "Canadian Dominion Football Championship" (national championship) of Canadian football.”

And that's the Tea!

That's a steep mountain to climb.

Go Winnipeg. Shorts guy's time has come

This game is so important to Canada that they couldn't even bother to erase the soccer lines off of the field. It looks like they are playing in a high school stadium.

McMahon Stadium has been around since the 50's and was used for the 1988 Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. Its capacity is just under 50,000, which is the right size for the CFL. Its next to the University of Calgary and is used for many sports.

Thanks 98xj, I had no idea this was on. I know it's the CFL, but it would be nice if they would advertise these games more now that you can watch them here in the states.
November 25th, 2019 at 8:01 AM ^
"now that you can watch them here in the states."
Maybe it's Detroit's proximity to Windsor that made it possible, but I grew up in G.P. and watched the Grey Cup more than once when I was a kid way back in the '60s.

I used to play darts against Zach Collaros in college. Dude can hit the board from the opposite side of the bar.

That’s not saying much unless your boi hit like 5 triple 20’s in a row

Merge with the XFL and make a product more people will watch.

So few posts and so many of the concurrently snobby and ignorant variety.

Are there still two separate teams called the Rough Riders and Roughriders?
November 24th, 2019 at 10:29 PM ^
No, unfortunately the Ottawa Rough Riders folded in 1996.
Ottawa has had two teams since, the Ottawa Renegades who also folded and currently they have the Ottawa Red Blacks.

Winnepeg fan held up a sign that said 28 years of Blue Balls, our time has come.

Logged in to upvote. Always good to recognize the CFL, particularly in a fanbase where many people live or have lived within range of the CBC and had opportunities to watch the CFL over the air back in the day.
As it happens, my dad is from Toronto, and I have a family of committed fans of the Argonauts. Like, my grandfather held season tickets for years, and we yelled ARGOOOOOS together at his funeral.

Good story SJK....my great grandparents lived walking distance to old exhibition stadium.....went to games in their eighties. Big Arggo fans.
