Greg Schiano is ticked off he has to answer questions about sharing Michigan's signs

About what you would expect from these hypocritical cowards. Greg Schiano refused to answer questions about sharing Michigan's signs with Purdue in his weekly presser. Didn't not deny it. But hilariously, he was outraged he even had to answer questions about it. Essentially played the card he was too busy preparing for Iowa this week to think about it:

“Look, I’m getting ready to go play the 22nd ranked team in the country at their place,” Schiano said, via NJ Advance Media. “They are 12-3 in their last 15 games, they’re 15-1 in the month of November (in the past four seasons). I’m very confident in the way we handle our business. I’m not going to get into specifics about something that is not my issue. This is not my issue. Let the people handle it whose issue it is.”

Then, Schiano dropped the hammer on the whole subject.

“I’m sticking to one thing: Iowa,” Schiano said. “I gave you my feelings on the whole subject. Quite frankly, I’m a little bit ticked off that we have to talk about this. This isn’t our problem.”

But I'm sure he was on that conference call with the commissioner crying like a baby for maximum sentence.

Well, Greg, this wasn't Michigan's problem either until some as of yet unknown outside entity decided to investigate Michigan and leak the results everywhere in drips of media coverage, culminating in a mob of angry ADs/coaches demanding punishment of Harbaugh before the facts were known and Michigan could even respond. Before any single shred of evidence shows that Harbaugh was aware of said scheme. Because "sportsmanship", or something.

But that's not the world we live in, is it Greg? So oh well, I guess your prior collusion with Purdue is now out in the open, because now Michigan is forced to defend itself by slinging the mud back at everyone else. "Everybody does it" seems like a decent defense when you can actually show that others are doing it and how they've done it, thus negating the argument that somehow this is the reason Michigan has been playing so well since 2021. And not because, you know, they're just that good.

I guess, Greg, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't aware of this collusion from your sign stealers sending signs to Purdue...Michigan is simply asking that it be respected for Harbaugh as well. But no, Pettiti and the angry mob of whiny loser coaches and ADs had to just push for unprecedented punishment before an investigation was completed, didn't they? I mean, it certainly wasn't Michigan's idea to float a potential indefinite suspension out there, was it? So guess what, now YOU get to answer questions about unethical unsportsmanlike behavior! Congrats! That's the world we live in, buddy. Turnabout is fair play.

"This isn’t our problem.”  Was Schiano on the Coaches call last week when they ganged up on UM?  Is he refuting that they provided advanced scouting reports to Purdue?  Sorry, Greg, it's definitely your problem.  Most definitely.

I hope it comes back and bites him in the ass.

Even funnier now is the punk Purdue head Coach punking Jim on the hand shake and acting outraged.  Doing that to a football legend is bullshit.  Ya don't have to like him, but I didn't like the disrespect from a young guy.  I hope Jim doesn't forget this.

I mean, it's so clear he was talking about signs at halftime on Saturday September 23rd:  "There are some things going on that aren't right."

I'm curious whether this predates the OSU message board teases on this subject.  He probably just couldn't contain himself lol.  Hey Greg, icksnay on the ignsay...

At least one article on Schiano's comments provides another example of the stupidity and/or bias of many of the "news reporters" covering this story.

CBS Sports' Will Backus published an article titled and subtitled "Ryan Day, Greg Schiano deny sharing Michigan's signals with Purdue in 2022 as sign-stealing scandal broadens: The coaches for Ohio State and Rutgers issued firm denials amid accusations from the Wolverines".

In the article he states that allegations that OSU and Rutgers shared UM signs and signals with Purdue "were understandably met with firm denials from Buckeyes coach Ryan Day and Scarlet Knights boss Greg Schiano..."

I'll mention only briefly that his use of the word "understandably" is a journalistically (is that a word?) horrible bit of editorializing in what purports to be a news story. More significant, though, is his complete mischaracterization of what Schiano actually said, as quoted in the article:

"I'm getting ready to play the twenty-second ranked team in the country at their place. They are 12-3, I think, in their last 15 games. They are 15-1 in the month of November," Schiano said. "I'm very confident in the way we handle our business. I'm not going to get into specifics that are not my issue. This is not my issue. I'll let the people handle it whose issue it is.

"Quite frankly, I'm a little bit ticked off that we have to talk about this. This isn't our problem." he continued.

This is not a denial at all, let alone a "firm" one. It's merely a deflection. The closest Schiano comes to even addressing the allegation is that he is "very confident in the way we handle our business," which says absolutely nothing. It's absolutely pathetic that so many people are so easily hoodwinked by stuff like this.
