Actually the 3/4 length cashmere coat was very fashionable on campus in the '80s. I can distinctly remember me and a buddy in our magnificent long coats stalking home from the bar at 2 a.m. singing songs from "Fiddler on the Roof."

Picking up trash in the Diag and throwing it in the trash can too? Probably painting over graffiti and putting quarters in parking meters if they were close to expiration. Planting trees and weeding planting beds. Pruning the hedges. Rebels I tells ya!

My neighbor named his newborn son Fielding, after Fielding Yost, a few months ago. This is in west Texas, btw.

As I remember, Woody Allen used it twice. Fielding Melish and Allen Fielding. I am close.
Fielding Yost is the godfather of Michigan Football.
I like to think if he were alive to see the current state of M Football, he would be infuriated about (1) our lack of National Championships in the modern era and (2) our struggles against Ohio State.
He would be disgusted we are not taking every available liberty to win. This is a coach who was finding ways to get players transferred to Uofm during WW2. I believe he tried getting kids to play for uofm that didn’t even go to the school lol. He would laugh at us for debating weather it’s right to give a kid some cash.
Don't worry he'd have keeled over from all African Americans playing way before he ever got to that.
