Grant Perry Status - TBD?

Submitted by RealJabrill on

Anyone know what's going on with Grant Perry?

He has been out (Edited:) 2 games and all we know is that his status up to date is TBD.   He was held out initially for disciplinary reasons but this seems to be more prelonged than usual.

Do we have an insider info?

All I know is we could use his blocking and slot receiving.

I think he played against Rutgers but didn't accumulate any stats. He's still in Harbaugh's doghouse. Obviously they didn't take him with the team to East Lansing since that's where he allegedly got into trouble.

Not that I want Grant out but I did enjoy seeing Drake Harris get as much time as he did. While he didn't get a catch he did get two big PI calls, one in the endzone. He also was wide up on a double move to start the game. I found that very encouraging.

But it took Perry out and Ways hurt for him to get on the field so that seems to say what th staff thinks of him at this time.

Also no Perry got Crawford more snaps as well and he didn a great job blocking. You can see his ability on the big play by McDoom.

Got into a little trouble in East Lansing during the bye week. He ended up with a MIP. He supposedly served his suspension a week ago, but it has lingered into a second week unexpectedly. He has split reps in practice. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

Saw a rumor on another post that Grant Perry wasn't the only receiver who got in trouble but the other one is playing.  Anyone know more about that?

Not to hijack the thread (and it didn't seem to warrant it's own), but I'm surprised I haven't seen Hudson much except on special teams and in blowout situations.  Any thoughts from anyone on why?  He got a lot of hype as an incoming recruit and I figured it would be Hudson and Kinnel slotted to replace Hill and Thomas at safety next year.
