Yep. That would be curious. It does not mean he can't perform but the key is to see how performs when there is pressure and the natural elements are not working in your favor. But he definitely met the high draft pick so far.

I'm becoming convinced Cryan Day sees it this way. It's inconceivable from his vantage from third base that Harbaugh could beat him without some kind of trick and hires a PI firm to figure out what it was, and comes up with this crazy Scallions guy.

Stroud threw for 400 and 350 yards against Michigan. Michigan beat OSU. They did not beat Stroud as much as keep the OSU offense out of the end zone.
That is where some people are really unaware.

Getting pressure on MCCord will be paramount to success IMO. Even if you have to blitz some to do it that is the key to the game IMO. You can't ask anyone to cover MHJ for lengths of time. I think you are going to see Will Johnson win some and lose some the way to mitigate his ability to do damage is to keep MCCord off time and force him to throw the ball before he wants to.

I think OSU fans know that CJ Stroud may have been the best OSU QB ever and they still lost by 3 scores in back to back years. It's why they are desperate for signalgate to be the crisis of the century. They know they probably won't win on the field so they're trying to win off it

Good stuff. Can someone find his PSU vs OSU one?

Deciding to go for it on fourth and moderate - in the middle of the fourth quarter - in your own half of the field - in a one score game... Coaching / Decision making.. Very Bad.

Heck, it wasn't so much on PSU's half off the field, it was on PSU's 30. Michigan was in field goal range as soon as they got the ball.

And they had timeouts to use.

OSU fans before Michigan played PSU.. " Michigan weakness is running the ball "
OSU fans after Michigan ran all over PSU " Michigan can't throw the ball"
They are feeling " better " about the game now after Michigan's performance vs PSU and their performance vs....... MSU 🤣.

I loved this and especially Neck Sharpies by Seth. It shows that our coaches have a lot more patience than the average fan does.

Between Seth's Neck Sharpies and this PSU blogger, it seems as if Michigan would have been in trouble with a better PSU offense.
But with Penn State as "Iowa with a finished basement" (an earlier Seth quotation of someone else), Michigan had the time, patience and savvy to set up the PSU defense for later surprises.

If PSU had a better offense, their defense may not have played the way they did. OTOH, Michigan would have tried different tactics to break down that defense.

Wow, that was great. Seth should do this with Matt.

Good insights. Thanks for sharing.
p.s. Points are back on the menu, boys.

Great find, thank you.
I have an weird question, here. At around the 50 second mark he uses the world leverage, but he mentions it about OL. I thought that was a concept for the secondary--where you're putting your body inside or outside a receiver. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

That's really good!
