Cool. So burn clock running until it starts raining, and then sling it around once the monsoon starts?
September 21st, 2019 at 9:54 AM ^
Harbaugh might be saving that strategy for msu. We need to bring back JOK to throw those passes.

I would laugh but..........

It may not be funny but it also isn't a lie.

That should be fun to watch. I enjoy watching games in the rain.

Big plays coming early. Gotta get some points on the board before Taylor runs the ball 30+ times in the second half.
September 21st, 2019 at 9:53 AM ^
Favors Wisconsin more than us
September 21st, 2019 at 9:55 AM ^
Rain always seems to favor the other team I've noticed
September 21st, 2019 at 10:33 AM ^
I get your point, but I think it does favor Wisconsin. Heavy rain should hurt the passing attack and isn't Wisconsin one of the best - if not the best - running team in the conference? I was hoping for DPJ and Collins to be finally targeted in deep passes today.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:01 AM ^
I’d like to hope otherwise. Brown has consistently shown the ability to stop the run. The pass, not as much. But yes, as impressive as Charbonnet has been, Taylor + Wisc’s O-line > Charbonnet + our O-line. Hoping our tenacious run defense might make the difference.

Read option might be a great play for us in the rain, with Dylan or Shea. Not convinced they'll pull it out, but Wisconsin's qb isn't a runner.

Need an early lead.

LoL
NOAA says 64% chance is the peak at 1pm with 1/4” of rain expected over a few hours. Not exactly a monsoon.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:00 AM ^
Was just going by what weather.com was saying. They have them in a flash flood warning, so I was assuming a downpour.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
I live in Madison. We have bad flooding problems here as it’s more or less a swamp and water levels are already at their brim (lake levels are up to the height of docks and waves lap onto sidewalks). That’s probably more what that’s about.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:07 AM ^
I wouldn’t use weather.com. It’s about as unbiased as CNN/FoxNews. It’s designed to be a for profit weather station.
our Company meteorologists laugh at them.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:37 AM ^
Now I am supposed to hate a weather reporting website because they are biased? Biased to what, money? Hard to keep up with all the hate. Why am I supposed to hate it again?
September 21st, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
I think he means biased toward drama over facts or expertise-driven reason.
Nothing drives ad revenues more than dramatic click-inducing headlines.
September 21st, 2019 at 11:44 AM ^
its weather + exaggerated drama= clicks.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:18 AM ^
I live in a city with no significant bodies of water and no large low-lying areas. They issue flash flood warnings here too. I just assume they mean the roads, which have suffered the worst fate possible - Highway Planning in Michigan. On the plus side, they are not naming the Flash Flood Warnings yet.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
Id say the gusts to 28-30mph are going to be a bigger issue.
September 21st, 2019 at 9:59 AM ^
So then the significant rain would be hitting right around/during halftime. Get that first-half lead boys and finish strong.
September 21st, 2019 at 9:59 AM ^
I don’t have a good feeling about this game.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:01 AM ^
Well, I have a pretty good feeling about it, so it cancels your feeling out.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
I thought you meant you would start pouring alcohol to drown your sorrows.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
I'm flying from Santa Rosa (CA) into O'Hare today (thru PHX). So, I've been keeping an eye on the weather as well. It seems that light rain may start to fall, in Madison, as early as Noon. But, it also seems that the bulk of the heavy rain and severe weather will stay south of the IL/WI border. A lot of the heavier stuff looks like it will pass over northeastern Illinois (which isn't so good for me). The MSU/NW game may be impacted, by the weather, more than the UM/UW game.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
Unless you're in Madison, why does every care so much about the weather?
September 21st, 2019 at 11:02 AM ^
Uh, because it directly affects the Michigan/Wisconsin game? Thought that was kind of obvious.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:18 AM ^
noaa says: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11am and 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 74. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
September 21st, 2019 at 10:26 AM ^
Sounds like weather that is a direct antithesis to speed in space.
