I have to wonder what was said to Giles previously?

I'd be willing to bet that some douchebag fan thought it was okay to speak some bullshit to an opposing player.

Neither he nor Joe Milton have had much success thus far. I watched the first quarter of the Tennessee game yesterday. Milton overthrew wide open receivers on about six plays. He has absolutely no touch on his throws.

Count me among those who didn't realize until later what the random boo'ing was about. When I learned the crowd was boo'ing any mention of Giles Jackson, I had mixed feelings about it. It also appeared to me that his former teammates weren't really happy to see him, but maybe they dapped up off camera? At least we have the memory of him returning kicks against Alabama.

I noticed that too. The team didn't appear to take to kindly to his return from the look of it. Kinda gives some credence to the word on his departure from the program. Now maybe like you said there was some after the game handshakes and what not but I didn't see it. I've also noticed a few of the players taking not if this video on Twitter and Instagram

It’s whatever. The crowd was booing him every time his name was announced so, I don’t blame him.

I have mixed feelings on the booing, but if we’re going to dish it we’d better be able to take it too.

Really depends on what was said to him, I think.

I'm fine with Jackson lashing out like that. Fans hurl verbal abuse at players at the precise moment they are at a low point (losing a game). We expect them to be amped up to play but then expect them to not react to verbal abuse. Some fans treat players like animals in a zoo. I wasn't really angered by Marcus Hall's middle finger either. I'll continue to root for Giles Jackson as a former Wolverine. The part of the fan base that hates on former players is only a small (but very vocal) part of the fan base.

What I heard was said is “Montana” and “Traitor.” Not sure if true. If it is, the little shit talking kid should be taught about being gracious, humble and respectful. For what it’s worth, I interacted with many U Dub fans yesterday and they were great.
