....Harbaugh-coached Michigan team ever beaten an opponent that it was not favored to beat?

Hornibrook throws a lot of picks, which always introduces some variance into the game. Also, with the type of offense Wisconsin employs, they won't be nearly as well-equipped to exploit our defensive weaknesses as Penn State. We can definitely win a rock fight against them.

this year. Records of teams we beat:
Florida 3-6, Cincy 3-7, Air Force 4-5, Purdue 4-6, Indiana 4-6, Rutgers 4-6, Minnesota 5-5, Maryland 4-6.. combined 31-47.
We lost the two games against teams with winning records. Let's face it, Wisconsin should be favored by 2 TDs in this game. There's always a chance and you never know, but we really have what you call a puncher's chance here and no more.

I think matchups really matter here. Our defense should be able to stop an offense like Wisconsin's. If you shut down their offense, it becomes a rock fight that can hinge on any big play. Also, this thing about not being able to "hang with" a good team is silly. We lost to MSU by 4 points in a monsoon when O'Korn was still turning it over like crazy as our quarterback. Our only other loss was Penn State, which was a bad loss, but also not necessarily indicative of what Wisconsin will do. Those are two very different types of offenses. Finally, what great teams have the Badgers beaten this year?

two teams that are better than any team we've beaten. Wisconsin isn't some unstoppable juggernaut and if they run into a real good team they might well be toast..but at this point there's little indicating we're that real good team.
We have a chance to beat them because it's CFB and you always have a chance unless you're extremely outmatched talent-wise or your team has quit, neither of which is the case for us. I think the 11 am kickoff helps us because it tones down the energy in their stadium and sets the tone for a close Big Ten game. So I am not saying this is an auto L, but it will require a *lot* going our way for it to be a W.

Other than Minnesota, they all have losing records in their non-Michigan games.

in Madison, are we to deduce this is an ESPN-ABC broadcast, and, if so, would be a late afternoon kickoff? Because FOX got the Michigan-Ohio State game, I am guessing ESPN gets first pick this week.
I've checked the schedule of games next weekend, and this matchup tops the list of games with any key relevance to the playoff picture. It is also the best game in terms of market share. Typically Week 11 games in the SEC and ACC involve cupcake dates so the heavyweights can heal in time for rivalry Saturday the following week.
Camp Randall GameDay doesn't guarantee a late game but I'm thinking it will likely be a late afternoon contest. A whole slate of games for next weekend are TBD and as noted none have the matchup potential of Michigan-Wisconsin.

WI upset us when we played them on the road. It was the first game of the season and we were ranked number 1 heading into the game. Now it is time for REVENGE!

I was at that game, with former Regent and Muskegon attorney James Waters. What a great guy to take me to the game on a whim, Madison is a great place to watch a big game.
Hopefully we get "Revenge for that game".

I just saw the noon kickoff announcement - I guess that means all the family that is coming over to my house next weekend gets dinner because the game will be during lunch. The worst case scenario is that I hastily scribble down the directions to a coney island during a commercial and thell them to fuck off until about 3:30 PM.

I don't have enough points to start my own discussion, but I wanted to pass on some info from the UW Spirit Club of Madison WI.
If you are in Madision Friday night for the game, the Spirit Club is having a meet-up for Michigan fans from 6 pm to 9 pm at Whiskey Jacks Saloon at 552 State Street, which is a campus main drag full for bars and restaurants. I'm a Madison resident, but won't be able to make it. Go blue!

Gameday location announced as Bascom Hill. Not ideal. In the past they've done it on the practice field right outside the stadium so it allowed quicker entry prior to kickoff, but Bascom is a 10 minute walk from the stadium. I could give two shits about Gameday, but it's going to further diminish the student showing at the start.
