Looks like it’ll be a beautiful day for football. They’ll have to fall back on the ole “Stroud had the flu” excuse come Saturday afternoon around 4pm.

Beat the bucks.

Am I the only one who doesn’t give a shit about the weather for The Game?

If we can’t beat OSU in conditions that might favor their passing attack, we don’t deserve to win.

In my personal opinion, Corum will be limited, if we are lucky.  The second play he was in the second half he tried to cut in order to block, could not, and ran directly to the sidelines.  I think we will see him in some form, hopefully on par with how much he was able to play last year.

It’s all a ruse. Corum was supposed to fumble out of bounds but it’s all choreographed from the knee injury, to coming back in for a play in the second half just to make Ryan Day have to wonder if Blake’s 100%.

Also we did land on the moon but the moon itself isn’t real, it’s hollow.

We take what Mother Nature gives. The storm system that was projected to bring rain to C-Bus at the beginning of the week will get there a day later, Sunday.

The near perfect conditions will benefit Michigan as much as it will the buckeyes.

Think positive! Go Blue!

Guys, weather doesn’t matter, because their whole team will claim they got the flu and pneumonia shots, and a Covid booster the day before (rather than their usual “vaccines”)

Quality of execution, not the weather - will determine the outcome of The Game on Saturday.

It was the same case last year.  The Buckeyes / Stroud completed about 70% of their passes for almost 400 yards.  The weather didn’t seem to impact their passing game too much.  It was their lines - and ground game that determined the outcome.

Newton,

I was at the game last year - and, respectfully, the Buckeyes make a fair point.

I don’t know how it happened - but, when the Buckeyes were on offense - it was blizzard conditions - snowing heavily with hurricane force winds.  And, during their punts - the clouds disappeared, the temperature rose to 64 degrees, the sun shined, and winds became calm.  It was incredible - every series - the exact same thing.

And, when they switched ends after the quarter - it appeared they once again were moving upwind into those hurricane winds.

Yeah, that’s exactly what it was like a year ago in A2.

Question for board: When did we start blowing the fog horn along with the band crashing cymbals and beating drums, on opposing teams 3rd downs? I  love that and it gets the crowd even more amped!!!

Michigan did not beat OSU last year because of the weather. Michigan beat OSU because their soft, weak defense got mowed the fuck over by a Michigan OL that had something to prove. By a running back who was just flat out better, tougher and wanted it more than the guys he lined up against.

I don’t doubt OSU’s defense is improved, but so is Michigan’s OL. And if Corum and Edwards are healthy enough to play, then this is going to be a game down to the end.

Call me crazy but I think I prefer it this way. I want JJ to be as comfortable as possible in a very hostile environment and not being cold or wet can alleviate that concern at least. Imo it's more important that JJ is feeling 100 percent

Told you guys Monday (not being snarky towards OP) it would be 50 and cloudy/no rain. Now we are getting 50 and sun.

as I said…F*** the weather. Win the game.

onnour locks nbc news in Columbus they even said “I don’t know what everyone else is looking at but Saturday looks like it will be perfect weather”. I assume it just had to be using different Models?

It’s a fun narrative about last year – tough, ground-and-pound Michigan dominates finesse, pass-happy Ohio State in near-blizzard conditions – but the weather was NOT a factor in the game.

CJ Stroud passed for nearly 400 yards at just under 70%.  Cade passed for 159 yards at 68%.  There were no errant passes caused by wind.  There were no dropped passes or fumbles caused by a slippery ball.

The snow dusting added to the mystique and drama of the game, but it did not actually impact the game.

Good weather this year does not hurt us or help them.

So, I was just listening to a Corum interview and Corum's favorite Harbaugh story was that JH said he'd cut his arm off to win last year, and they all laughed, and then realized he wasn't joking.

JH held everybody back to win this one. That's why we suddenly have so many guys injured, the reality is JH treated that like a week 16 game, and he was perfectly willing to lose to Illinois to set up for OSU better.

(Also, this isn't a weather thought, but we need more damn threads about the game, or a snowflake thread or something. Usually the mods loosen up this week, but everybody's as grumpy as usual.)
