Good game, even if the offense started a little slowly. JJ won that competition pretty easily, and the defense looks really good. The DL!!! WOW!!! Nice surprise...

Was anyone listening to the radio broadcast (Dough Karsch, Jon Jansen, et al.)? What did you think of it?

I thought they did ok for a first game. Karsch sounded a little caught off guard for his first live call of a Michigan touchdown as the play-by-play. I expected an excited “TOUCHDOWN, MICHIGAN!” I thought Jansen was decent. (side note: I tried to use the varsity network app and sync with the game but it got annoying because my connection kept dropping)

They're a perfect example of nepotism at its worst. There's no way Brian Ferentz should be the OC. Gonna be interesting to see if anybody picks him up when daddy retires

Good effort against a team that had a lot of players from a bowl team last year. Saved the playbook. Optimistic about it being a very good and perhaps great season.

Would it be too much to ask to have some guy who actually provides informative commentary on the game? RGIII did nothing but banal commentary that a 12 year old could make and stupid irrelevant crap.

He may have done some of that but by the 2nd quarter it was like calling a Tigers / Marlins game in the middle of July. Relax a little, if he ever got an opportunity to call a big game I'm sure itd be more focused.
He also had a few good tidbits from his time with the ravens, QB experience, and texting John Harbaugh

Seriously? He’s no worse than average for most of it and the fact that he doesn’t have his “no fun on broadcast tv” filter on yet made for some entertainment.

Is it impossible to have fun while also providing a little bit of insight into the game? That's what he's there for. He literally did not provide a single informative comment the entire game (stuff like "yeah that was really good blocking there I like these guys" doesn't qualify). He was the drunk guy at the sports bar who occasionally looks over at the TV and makes a random comment.

Still depends on next week. Maybe JJ won't play well in 1st half and Cade does in 2nd? The drama will be worse. Lol.
That said, it's definitely JJ's job to lose now.
