Future Blue game Performance Zach Charbonnet

Oaks Christian vs Edison

14 carries 161 2 tds. Scored on runs of 10 and 26 yards.

1 interception returned 30 yards.

38-7 win over Edison. Edison’s defensive game plan was to stop Zach, they couldn’t keep it up all game.

I wrote the article. Cool seeing me cited on mgoblog!

Edison, for what it's worth, is a very strong OC public school program, and they threw everything they had at Charbonnet. Charbonnet came across as a one-cut power back with a bit of breakaway speed. He had two fifty yard runs that were the product of leaving DB's in a pool of goop after jukes.

The two TD's were him dragging several defenders. I was expecting Oaks to overwhelm with all of their talent, but really, Charbonnet is pretty much the biggest reason they are now a top-5 team in the state.

Also if you saw the Quintel Kent TD yesterday.....WOW.

If u told me he was the #1 WR in class I wouldn't doubt it for a second.  All the usual caveats apply about a clip from a high school game but this isn't a 2 star.

Got to see him play last night, his school is a mile from my house.  Looked like a beast and my 6 year old son screamed GO BLUE every time he touched the ball.  That high school has bettter facilities than many D—1 universities and only costs $30k a year to attend!

Would like to see Jay Harbaugh receive the credit due from that minority portion of the fan base that feels criticism of his recruitingIn Jim We Trust.jpg and/or coaching abilities is warranted. That is simply crazy talk. Jay is one of the best young coaches in college football, and if his last name wasn't Harbaugh, I suspect that would be a more widely held view.
