Friday Night Drinking Thread

Why is there not one of these already?

Celebrate a big win for 4-0 Michigan basketball!

Wings get shutout because the offense is nonexistent.

We celebrate booze!

Also just turned on this Boise State game (not sure why).  I am still confused by the rules of football...why the hell can the offense fumble the ball forward and recover at that spot?!  It makes no sense!  Keep noticing it happening this year too (Tennessee OT game comes to mind).

32 oz block of Velveeta, cubed 4 oz smoked cheese, cubed. I used smoked Vermont cheddar. It can be Gouda, whatever you prefer. (Don't use pre shredded cheese) 1/2 cup salsa 1 cup Founders Breakfast Stout 8 slices of cooked bacon, chopped Eyeball some minced garlic Add some onion powder, just eyeball it Dash of cayenne Whatever other seasonings you like. 1/2 cup of King Arthur Vermont Cheese Powder. Kinda tough to find, but you could use boxed mac n cheese power, popcorn cheese powder, or just omit this part. * Set slow cooker to high. Dump cubed Velveeta and cubed smoked cheese into slow cooker Once it melts dump in everything else Season to how you like it. Great with soft pretzels or whatever. On a burger is good too. Enjoy!

Hate to admit this, but we hosted a karaoke night at our house. I partook of Appletinis (just tell me where I need to mail in my man card and I'll comply), Irish sweet tea, and sangria.

It wasn't my manliest moment, but I sang better the more I drank!

I bartended for three years.  I'd respect you more for ordering an appletini with confidence than if you were to fumble around and conform.

Your man card gets more credibility if you own your tastes.  Nothing to be ashamed of.  If it tastes good and you like it, nothing else matters.

Now, here's the appletini recipe I used: 2 ounces southern comfort, .5 ounces sour apple pucker, 1 ounce of angry orchard.  Straight delicious.
