How much longer is Chris Creighton going to stay at EMU? He’s done a fantastic job there considering the resources (or lack thereof) that he has at his disposal, and EMU is probably one of the 2-3 hardest jobs in FBS.

Someone made a good point (maybe it was the Cover 3 Podcast?) that it's going to be impossible for MAC head coaches to move up to the biggest conferences due to pay differential. ADs are going to be loath to pay a guy who was making $500-800k the going rate of $4-5M. And you can't pay them less as it makes you look cheap.

 

So you're stuck poaching coaches from other schools and coordinators from big schools. That's why it doesn't make sense for guys like Mike Hart to take a MAC head coaching job.

Very tired, very sore. Got her to take her pain meds, muscle relaxer, chemo pill and about 30 other pills to take care of the side effects of those pills… She is now laying on the couch sleeping as I watch football and try to keep the four kids from being to loud!

So cool to see the worst overly large scoreboard I have ever seen is going to be used on all Fox stations this year.  But so glad I can see gigantic logos, etc that add nothing of value. It is literally covering wrs and dbs on the bottom of the screen. Can we please get a petition or something going for them to change that crap?

Compared to Blaha Brado is Keith Jackson.  Driving out and listened to the first half on XM.  Every play was the same.  Babble.  Silence.  Crowd reaction, leading me to wonder is that a big cheer a medium cheer b/c MSU did something ok, a good play from Central so only their fans are cheering, etc until Blaha figures out what happened.  He was terrible five years ago.  Now, they'd be better off with any random college kids from that first week of exhibition basketball.

Goal line stand incoming probably, going to be another year where opponents in the redzone are going to try and go into the teeth of the only decent part of MSU's defense apparently.

It is just idiotic how teams refuse to really test MSU's awful secondary in the redzone the last  couple of years. MSU is not good but their front seven is at least decent. Feels like they are paying off opposing coaches to sandbag redzone playcalling at this point.

So, you’re the road team, an underdog, and you just proved you can drive it on the other team. Why the duck wouldn’t you take the three points and get some momentum?! Also State is just undisciplined, unsportsmanlike penalty against CMU? Like damn.

I mean Mel has alot of money to throw around, maybe just maybe he is paying opponents to sandbag in the redzone, lol. Even Washington in last years opener  bizarrely refused to throw it in the redzone.
