Fred Jackson story on “Steady Droppin Dimes”
Listened to Michigan Insider “Steady Droppin Dimes yesterday while traveling, and at the end Sam had a sit-down with Sean (sp?) Duvall of Golden Limo, who told a story of how Fred Jackson went from Michigan to coaching at Ypsilanti, what he encountered and what he did for the kids there under hard circumstances. Beautiful story and so appropriate for Thanksgiving. Gotta admit it put a lump in my throat and put this game into a better perspective for me.
If you have 8 minutes to watch, it starts at the 1 hour 20 minute mark, and you might find it worthwhile. I tried to get the link so it’d start there but may not have succeeded.
I’m thankful today for people like Fred who work their asses off to help others, and for Sam with his relentless positive energy, bringing this story to light.

There are only 3 people in the world Chuck Norris respects. And Fred Jackson is one of them.

Wow, I did a double-take. I thought that said pus-sy (hmmm, not sure how to spell that without causing a stir. “Pus-like” is what I’m trying for).
Now you see why I did a double-take.
