Was hoping he'd land with the Warriors, but nice that he'll get to play with Moe. Orlando doesn't have a great history of player development

I was also hoping Franz would end up with the Warriors. He had the rare opportunity to go in the top ten to a team that’s actually good and Steve Kerr is such an amazing coach. At least he didn’t go to the Kings, the NBA’s black hole that absorbs and destroys talent.

Still, it’s great that he’s a top ten pick. I’ll have to catch some Magic games this year. I think the last time I watched them play Stan Van Gundy was the coach.

The Magic have a really weird team where they have amassed so much touted talent, but yet have nothing definitively to build around. Suggs, Fultz, Hampton, Anthony as guards. Bamba and Carter Jr as bigs. Isaac, Okeke and now Wagner as wings. Lots of raw material for a good team, but they'll need to hope a franchise guy emerges from this group or enough of these guys work out so they can cash in a trade package for a star.

Obviously it's not the best team in the league, but Wagner will have every opportunity to start and develop on this roster. Excited for him!

I think that makes it good for Franz AND good for their future...

Franz will have a chance to prove himself among essentially peers in the NBA hierarchy with relatively no pressure.

As far as Orlando as a whole, they're so young, let this team grow, and the stars will emerge naturally. I like what they're doing. And I think Suggs will be really good for them.
