I wouldn't mind a game versus USC, as playing Alabama - unless they sit guys and mail it in as they've done on rare occasions - seems like a recipe for unfortunate outcomes.

Holiday Bowl sucks though. It's a nothing bowl that nobody watches. Give me the New Years day game when the whole country is watching. Yes we will get crushed by Alabama but the exposure is much greater. If it helps force positive change then so be it. No reason to hide from competition.

There is some real ignorant thinking going on this time of year. Remember in 2014 when people here WANTED osu to win the playoff?

How has that worked out for us since? The false bravado THIS IS MICHIGAN HARRUMPH needs to stop. We need wins.

The hope is that getting blown out by Bama will force Harbaugh to wake the fuck up and realize he needs to make some serious changes if he wants his program to be on par with Bama's and OSU's.  He made a step towards that with the hiring of Gattis but there is still a lot of work to be done.

I think Delaney has wanted Harbaugh to fail from day one. Not surprised he is making sure Michigan ends up playing Bama in a bowl game.

Please no Citrus Bowl with Bama.  Holiday is UM's best option...

Bama would defeat UM by 3 scores. UM's team needs a win to boost the kids confidence for next season. Holiday bowl would provide a soft Pac-12 opponent. I have no wish of repeating UM/OSU 2019 at the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day. Holiday bowl gives Harbaugh another 10-win season. Inevitable Citrus bowl loss reminds future recruits UM still isnt an elite football school.

I do not care who Michigan plays in a bowl game to be honest, as long it is not Florida!!! Like most agree, it’s fun to watch different opponents that you do not get to see often.

Citrus v Auburn is the matchup I really want to see. Good matchup on paper and Auburn is not a dominant rushing team, so they aren't built to murder our glaring weakness on the interior.

Tired of the UM part timers that spend there winter months in Florida and sell thier season tickets when we lose a game (say Wisconsin) sell them off and we have 30,000 f%^&*> Buckeyes in our stadium. Screw Florida. USC out west yes sir.. Hell bring BAMA out west for a change of scene. Wont happen to many slappies in Flr..

Alabama would be a bad match for Michigan, Alabama is more talented and probably better even if their starters sit. Much rather play USC for competitive, recruiting and traditional reasons. USC vs. Michigan is a classic. The game would be entertaining to watch. USC isn't bad. They would put up a good fight and could win. I want to believe Michigan is the better team but I'd like to see them prove it on the field.

Like the wishful thinking from all but Alabama's O-Line is going to eat us alive. Najee will have +150 yrds. Sucks but that's were we are at. Our speed 4 DE rush will hold up for maybe the 1st and 2nd series but will be worn to hell and shredded half way 2nd qtr. McGrone is shifty and can stretch plays like Bush but cant plug the hole like Bush. Fact is we're overmatched in the trenches you know it I know it... Period!!! Change the scenery USC would be a good matchup...

It seems every year we get what everyone thinks is an easy bowl opponent that we are favored against (South Carolina, Florida last year) and the. We get beat.

so maybe we get Bama and are underdogs and play well. Sounds like Bama to the Citrus is a done deal.

We have absolutely nothing to gain by facing Bama since it’s virtually a 100% guaranteed beat-down of a loss.

Can’t keep going into the off-season with losses ending the season and all the negative momentum that comes along with that. Even though USC is less than stellar (to put it kindly) at the moment, a win over them is still a win and 10 wins looks a lot better than 9.

I just want a bowl game the team has a good chance to win...even if it’s a lower tier bowl like the Holiday.

At least give us something positive to end the season on instead of:

2016: 1-3

2017: 0-3

2018: 0-2

According to 90% on the Michigan fan base, Michigan will be unable to play in a bowl this year because the football players have upcoming medical school exams. Nick Saban will be disappointed because he wanted to mentor Harbaugh on good coaching

Michigan vs Alabama in the Citrus would be big money - both at the gate and TV advertising.  Payout to the B1G would be maximized so if Citrus wants that matchup it is a done deal.

Bowl games are all about the money.
