The offense needs an injection of hope. Changing QB is a big risk, but the only in-season injection of hope is making a change like that (doesn’t always work).
They keep saying practice is great. That means Shea is a “State Street” player. Some people are great in practice, but not in games. I think that is Shea.
You have a team well experienced in Jim’s pro-style offense. Why not just add some power spread concepts slowly over time. This complete overhaul turns your Jr’s and Sr’s into Freshman.
“A bug not a feature” is spot on. I don’t care what style they want to use, but staring at the talent on offense says pass 50% of the time as a baseline for next year (should have been this year too). Collins, DPJ, and Black are like brand new Ferrari’s just sitting in the garage waiting to be driven. But the owner has all of sudden watched a documentary on global warming.
I think having one voice of reason for the offense would be excellent too. Hierarchy is imperative for efficiency.
Go Blue! Basketball school until further notice......
what has been occurring in Men’s hoops is what we have been dreaming about for the football squad.
I love watching these guys play. It looks like they have fun on offense and flip a switch to angry on D. I have not seen that before. The players look comfortable.
BPONE for the rest of the winter mixed in with great Michigan basketball.
I don’t think it was talent on offense, but our lack of game changing D-tackles was present yesterday. Luckily we have major reinforcements coming in. I am just glad we were able to cover that up for 10 wins.
I don’t think major changes are needed, but I am concerned with how bad they looked on a national stage. I did not recognize that team. Does that come from the coaching down? I assume so. What to do about that, I don’t know.
I would keep all the coaches and give it another run. I think we are a year away from having dominat trenches again.
Expect the first 10 minutes to be a brawl and ugly. Then the good guys get rolling and win in a business approach. I have a feeling there will be some “I haven’t seen State beaten like that in a while” comments afterwards
Flew from SD to catch this game and it was well worth it. Crowd was electric and my area did a great job ignoring the grumpy old “sit only” fans. Looking forward to a tougher test on the road next week. Bring it home Blue
As I said before, “More Bench Mason touches”. He should get two touches on passes a game. Put the fear of Zeus into the secondary to bring him down. More tailback touches so he can pick up steam and at most make one cut.
Best thing to a big back we have on the roster!!!!
Gritty win for the good guys. Def had my stomach in a knot while on vacation in Europe.
It felt like a well prepared, desperate, emotional home team v’s a business as usual team. I am not sure what it is, but I feel like the Michigan football team other than the front 7, doesn’t bring its swagger on the road. I don’t know if they just get tight, but it just never has that feeling, we are here to shut up the crowd and celebrate away from our home (Canes of the 80’s but less hip thrusting). In college i loved playing on the road other than the refs. It was easier to get hype.
You have to take more risks.
Based on the big schools backing off and Kentucky stepping up the tea leaves are pointing to a risky recruit. Not sure why, but that seems to be the case...
I hope he succeeds in all of his endeavors.
Clemson wants him
Understands our rivalries
Our Oline coach wants him
Very pleased!
Also the Evans article earlier today had me thinking we are putting up 250 yards rushing against all rivals this year!
With this season having much more success in the W/L column and or D-line throwing sack lunch parties all season long I think will be enough to keep him.
Not to mention the hype that Gary and Chase will get from their play and already massive profiles.
Just win Baby!
Go Blue
I would be excited for that in 3rd in long. With our front four we should be able to cause a very uncomfortable pocket while dropping 7.
I think that could of helped us a lot last year in big games. A lot of the dagger plays against our great D was perfect passes against our man to man. The first two downs we owned them. Then its like a fade way steph curry three dagger with 1 second on the shot clock.
Tackle football taught me toughness and teamwork starting at 8 years old.
There is no way I would have signed up for it after being babied by my mother for another 5+ years if there was an age restriction. They are looking to make tackle football age limits in Cali where I am at now. I will send my kids out of the state if I have too.
Hustle hit never quit.
Look forward to your serving up pancakes and keeping are pretty boys pretty !
Hopefully we had two more instant impact O-linemen by year end.
Just win baby

Along with faith I have heard several references to Stoicism! Those are two powerful mindsets to carry through life.
Please Holiday Bowl!!! I’ll host pre party before we head to the tailgate!
Coaching does include identifying/recruiting, no?
Lack of DT’s and Safeties falls in him, no?
The guy had four offenses in four years. That’s tough on anyone.
In the two biggest games of the year his receivers develop a case of hot potato with the ground.
feel bad for the guy. I hope he gets in the league and shows out!!!!
0-5 and the margin is getting worse. Time for a new direction.
I love Coach Harbaugh as a symbol of the program, but he doesn’t have it in him to make the next leap and to beat OSU.
Confidence! After this game I bought my ticket to The Game! (Coming from San Diego)
Go Blue!
In basketball terms: Shea struggles in the half court (getting the ball out on time), but thrives on the fast break (improvising).
today he was great in both!!!!
what a beautiful game and look forward to the re-watch!!!
well done Big Blue
I was always impressed with how good he performed and looked in the OSU games. Athlete comparable to their athletes a must.
Indian upsets…
Side note:
Indian upsets PSU this weekend and PSU upsets OSU the following week you are looking at a possible three way tie.....
My favorite part of not tipping in the rest of (Excluding Mexico) is how awesome the service is without tipping, said no man ever.
in the rest of the world the service providers do the bare minimum because no tips are coming (it’s human nature).
We are a top notch QB away from winning conference championships. The rest of the talent is there.
They win out then this will be the best season to me in 10 plus years.
keep recruiting studs and eventually all the stars will align!
next years D = possible All-Americans in Hutchinson, McGrone, Ambry, and Dax!!!
1-0 vs rivals so far. Next up MSU
Go Blue!

Then defensive line recruiting......
Why didn’t they just add some more of the RPO concepts to our pro style offense since the team has years of experience in it?
You squander that build up of experience when you shred the playbook and start from scratch.
Not concerned with the coaches leaving (Marty does this, major title and pay upgrade. Washington riots and OSU is the shiny team nowadays).
My concern would be is it because of a systematic illness spreading that we don’t know about yet?
I won’t be surprised…
class
I won’t be surprised if he has more success off the field after a long successful NFL career.
Go Blue!
Best of luck sir! I think you have brighter days ahead of you in the league!!

Thank you Devin Bush for playing with such passion and tenacity. You made me want to take on a block for you just so you could tee off again.
From the outside looking in it seems like you have great class. Continued success with your career and handle your business sir.
P.S. Michigan players remember how much he hates Sparty!
Go Blue!
This team is so much fun to watch. Great balance on offense and dead serious D.

great leader, great work ethic, and from many accounts a solid young man. Good luck Rashan and hopefully live a life successful on and off the field.
I am sorry for your loss.

A win tomorrow will validate all my crazy fandom. A win tomorrow validates all of the trips from SD to catch a game.
I am nervous. I am excited. I want to play myself.
Go Blue and beat OSPughhhhh
Fully Functional. Proud of every member of the team.
Complimentary football at its finest!
I haven’t stopped smiling and looking at the stat sheet all day.

Bench Mason is my favorite player. He is only second all time to Charles Woodson
My Michigan hat fits better after games like this. Go Blue! More Bench Mason at tailback in the red zone
I loved seeing Bench Mason at tailback inside the 10. A stronger less shifty Toby Gerhart.
They could have something there for the tougher opponents.
Write up has me hype. Stars will soon follow.
Sounds like a two year starter type.
