Gotta admit guys. I have no idea what's going on here. Looks like I'm watching the view. Just a bunch of people talking real loud and I can't tell who's who or what they're saying or who started anything. But since I'm a Michigan fan I'll assume that SC started everything and is fully to blame for whatever the hell that was. Also...love the officer ominously standing there in the middle.

So a bunch of guys ran into each other going the other way at a crowded intersection, after a few beers, at a bowling ally, and escalated.

Looks to me like he noticed it was de-escalated, no laws being broken, protected everyone, and served as he should have. My guess is, if he touched someone or tased someone that was out of hand you’d be the first one here complaining how he abused his power.

Well within just that video I did see him get between a couple people. So not sure what your definition of “nothing” is. With just two of them standing there did you expect them to start acting like entitled assholes and rile up a crowd of people that are just jawing? Did they look like riot police to you?

There is a whole mile of space between doing absolutely nothing, to the extent that his presence there was completely ineffectual to the situation, and using a taser on someone.

Had be done so, you're damn right it would have represented an abuse of power and certainly I would be here calling it just that, the I hardly think I would be the first. Apparently that would be acceptable to you. Really? Would you be the first one here defending his actions? 

Perhaps....you know....saying something.....anything......as a law enforcement officer......like, say, "hey guys, keep moving, anyone starting something here is going to be dealt with severely," as a deterrent might have been a good idea. Possibly putting himself between them? 

Instead he just shuffled around and watched.

Guess you missed that whole part where I said “that was out of hand”. Out of hand would include actually throwing fists, attacking civilians, etc. Who is to say they didn’t already say something. And did you watch the video? Did you not see where he PUT HIMSELF BETWEEN THEM? Man some people will come online just to complain about anything. Some people saying it’s not even close to a fight and others calling for the cops to “step in” and break it up. I see it as being something right in the middle and the cops did a fine job and the people involved didn’t do anything that really required the police to step in and threaten anyone for raising their voices.

Once again...way over your head. I didn't say he did. I said IF HE HAD. That includes if the perpatrator HAD gotten out of hand. C'mon people

 

Also: maybe you need to watch the extended version. he definitely gets between people. he didn't have to do more than what he did.

You're clearly not too brushed up on your laws. Disturbing the peace seems like an easy one here. And Jesus Christ who said anything about tasing? How about just, you know, de-escalating with your presence? Getting in-between the parties? Anything at all?

Man, you too missed the out of hand part. That would include attacking people. Not just saying “hey we are gonna mop the field with you” etc What part of that didn’t already look de-escalated. People were already walking out. And you can clearly see him get in the middle of a couple people. Relax PC Dudeness. They did their jobs and nothing happened. Find more pressing issues to whine about.

Well i would like him to not stand there like a statue and maybe put himself between people. Losing weight and actually being in shape might have helped as well. The fact that guy is allowed to be a law enforcement officer is pathetic.

For what it’s worth you don’t know that man or what he did during this incident. You saw a 26 second snipet of that situation and think your an expert in law enforcement. Please let me know what training you have.. Inwhich I should listen to a word you have to say on the matter, go ahead I’ll wait.
