Fellow degenerates residing in Michigan, which Sportsbook to use?

Submitted by Great Cornholio on January 22nd, 2021 at 2:54 PM

I know this is a question that has been touched on previously, but as today is officially the first open day of legal online sports betting in Michigan, I'd love to again read some pointed input on where to open an account, which I plan to do post-haste. Here's a blurb from MLive:

"Among the notable differences between online sportsbooks and casinos include: betting opportunities offered, customer service, ease of financial transactions (type and speed) and promotions offered."

I would love to hear opinions on any of these factors, particularly breadth of betting opportunities (like, maybe I want to go big on Arkansas-Pine Bluff, or lose it all on Chadron State) and ease of deposits and withdrawals.

Will not be wagering on our basketball game tonight, fwiw, but I sure do like the Pack giving three this weekend, despite the outcome of this matchup earlier in the season.

Oh and if there are any preachy Marys out there who want to lecture about the vice of sports gambling, save it for another thread. I like gambling, weed, pop-tarts, and masturbating to dwarf elderporn. I'm prepared to deal with the natural consequences of all of these things.

I signed up for Draftkings, Fanduel and BetMGM. deposit a tiny amount in each one and will decide which interfaces and boosts I like better. I've heard barstool's interface seems better than the others but they do less gimmicky stuff to give away "free" money.

FanDuel will periodically do a promo to try to get more people to sign up where they add a point to the spread for every X amount of people who bet.  For example, there was an NFL game earlier this year that went from whichever team +3 to +60 or more.  Also had one for IU last year that got up to around +101 or so.  The max wager is $50 and they only do it a few times per year, but it's free money each time.

Fanduel has one today in honor of Michigan launching that's pistons to score 10+ in the first Q tonight. Even money and $50 max.

DraftKings has Pistons over 0.5 3pt made at even money and $50 max.

Haven't found anything that's a "no-brainer" as DK called it on BetMGM.

I'll be keeping my eye out for this kind of stuff.

Penn Gaming is matching what you fund and bet this weekend in the Barstool Sportsbook to give to small business relief, if that matters to you.

EDIT: I'm not in Michigan but I use DKNG. It's...fine.

Really impressed with the Barstool App, not so much the MGM. Plus if you put $100 on Michigan -4.5 tonight you receive an exclusive Fab Five hoodie win or lose. Matching every deposit towards the small business fund is enough incentive for me.

Dwarf elderporn!  Who knew such a thing existed, I for one am happy to be ignorant to such smut. I found this post very funny by the way. Good luck on the gambling

An eighth of today's green goes an awful long way, my friend. Back in Fab Five days it'd barely get you through the MLK Day weekend. I could get high for a month now for the same price as a decent bottle of Scotch. Switched to gummies though, less smoke and more convenient. Better for occasional nighttime relaxation and tv enhancement.

I opened an account with BetMGM.

They gave a $200 bonus ($100 sports/$100 casino games) Already used my $100 sports bets. Took Michigan -1.5 and Kansas City -3 ( They make the bet two bets at $50 each)

The reason I went with MGM is because of the reward program. Next time I go to Vegas a comped room would be nice.

If you have rewards through MGM I'd go with that.  Otherwise, I'd go with Barstool Sportsbook.  Big fan of the Barstool interface.

I’m sticking with my local bookie, Guido. Once you get past the rough guy smell, he’s alright. Provides almost unlimited credit too, although timely payment is a must. I still miss my buddy Kevin.

BetDSI and Wager.dm are the 2 I have been using for a couple years now. My one advice is to not take the match unless you don't plan to withdraw your money until you've wagered enough.

"I like gambling, weed, pop-tarts, and masturbating to dwarf elderporn."

You should be the focus of an all-out multichannel ad campaign for the gaming industry. It's just the kind of image they like to project.

If you sign up for Barstool Sportsbook this weekend you’ll get a dope ass Fab Five hoodie and also a dollar for dollar match will be made to the Barstool Fund to support small businesses

I'm going with FanDuel and Barstool. Downloaded MGM but didn't like their app plus their free giveaways have more stipulations than the others.

Took the FD Pistons 10+ first quarter points and Michigan -4 tonight. Got a G on KC moneyline Sunday on Barstool with the "risk free" bet. (Have a year to use $1,000 credit if I lose).
