Iowa’s defense is full of guys that are basically Eye Hole Man from Rick and Morty. Once you get the ball, they just smack the shit out of you until you cough it up.

The biggest key to beating OSU was being able to bother Stroud…and he still threw for 394 yards. I don’t know if this year’s defense has it in them to do that. The offense is going to need to score A LOT of points.

As much as Michigan struggled with Maryland, (even though I let my emotions get the best of me in the game thread) a win is a win! Looking around football this year, there have been a lot of upsets, two weeks ago the 6,7,8 teams lose, last week 11,12,13 lost. Today Miami lost to MTS and Kansas State is up 14 on Oklahoma. Georgia let Kent state score 22 points. Week to week anything can happen! God I love college football!

and of course anytime MSU loses it’s a great day!

Judging by how this OSU game is going, Michigan has got a whole lot to fix if it hopes to even hang around with them. Much less beat them.

cost of time between now and the end of November, but I can’t help but feel like Otter from Animal House, when they enter that bar.

It’s no different than any other year since 2008. OSU will do their thing, I only worry about that game the week leading up to it, to many things can happen between now and then. Plus some teams just match up against other teams better! I think we dominate Iowa, Maryland I thought was a tougher matchup for us. I honestly think we will cruise till that last game of the year!

To beat OSU you have to keep them in front of you and make them sustain drives and get consistent pressure because Stroud's footwork gets sloppy when he feels it coming.  I think we have the secondary for the former but I am concerned about the latter.

And then just score a lot of points which I think is doable.  Defense is better but it's not very good yet.

Michigan, based off what we’ve seen thus far, is going to have to generate pressure in that game by bringing help beyond its front four. Michigan was successful against OSU last year in large part because they had two first round talent game wreckers at DE who could generate pressure all by themselves. You didn’t have to rely on bringing help from elsewhere.

But the problem now is that if they want to bring help from elsewhere on the field, they will undoubtedly free more space up on the field for JSN, Harrison Jr., and the other onslaught of five star OSU WR talent to do its thing. So, what do you do?

1) Bring help, and hope someone can get to Stroud in time before he burns you with someone sprinting wide open across the middle?

2) Not bring help and hope like hell that someone in the front four can get to Stroud before one of his receivers has time to get open? In this case, He may have time to just sit back, wait for his guys to get open and just pick you apart.

Seems like a pick your poison situation. Hope Minter has some creative schemes dialed up just for this game, because Hutch and Ojabo ain’t walking through that door. And you hope that the OL can regain its dominant form and keep Stroud off the field.

I don’t see the need to torture yourself watching the OSU game.  As soon as Wisconsin bumbled their way to a loss at home against Washington State two weeks ago, did anyone NOT expect OSU to do what they’re doing now?
