ESPN thinks we’re second tier football program
January 25th, 2020 at 11:30 AM ^
Thinks? We know, should have asked us first
January 25th, 2020 at 11:33 AM ^
And that’s after Harbaugh brought it back from the third tier.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:34 AM ^
Not going to argue that. It’s pretty clear to see we are. We are not one of those top 6 or so schools that are competing for a National Championship every year. We haven’t even played for our own conference championship in over 10 years.

"But thats because Michigan and Ohio state are in the same division!" - every whiny, excuse making, head in the sand, 3 star loving Michigan fan.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:11 PM ^
Hey that two star QB we flipped from Fordham is going to be a game changing recruit....
January 25th, 2020 at 3:53 PM ^
The way he runs with the ball, I'd bet he's going to be switched to TE, like Zach Gentry.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:38 AM ^
Yeah, no shit and so are all of the other teams not in the elite 4 or 5. It’s been that way for a while and will continue for the foreseeable future absent a weird year or two. While UM is by no means perfect, they have way more of an OSU problem than a UM problem.
January 25th, 2020 at 11:54 AM ^
This isn’t some new revelation.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:00 PM ^
And???????
You're crazy if you think we should be in the elite tier.
Edit: After thinking about this, we really dont even deserve to be in tier 2.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:09 PM ^
Do bears shit in the woods?
OP, did you somehow think differently? There is absolutely no reason to think they are better (or worse) than the second tier.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:24 PM ^
Sounds about right
January 25th, 2020 at 12:26 PM ^
ESPN does not think. They pay hacks to write provoking articles that generate clicks and make profit.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:40 PM ^
I don’t have a problem with this categorization.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:42 PM ^
Water is wet
January 25th, 2020 at 12:47 PM ^
As Frank Drebin would say....Well
January 25th, 2020 at 12:51 PM ^
Show me the lie.
January 25th, 2020 at 12:56 PM ^
Michigan = 3-5 losses per year, including losses to OSU and a bowl
This is who Michigan is. 2nd tier.
Overrated.
Underperforming.
January 25th, 2020 at 1:27 PM ^
A 4-5 loss team isn't second tier.
January 25th, 2020 at 1:29 PM ^
If you are not one of the top six regular playoff teams it doesn’t really matter. The rest of us are just playing glorified exhibition games.
January 25th, 2020 at 1:31 PM ^
Not even a top tier basketball program, and it has had much more success over the last 40 years.
January 25th, 2020 at 1:49 PM ^
At least you have the best coach in college football and a tactical schematic advantage against all opponents under .500
January 25th, 2020 at 2:56 PM ^
It's true. Maybe it will motivate them. Us vs. the world. Works for other teams.
January 25th, 2020 at 3:25 PM ^
We are 100%.
January 25th, 2020 at 3:29 PM ^
This is correct
January 25th, 2020 at 3:35 PM ^
How long did it take ESPN to figure this out? Not exactly with worldwide leader in sports.
January 25th, 2020 at 3:52 PM ^
Gold jacket green jacket who gives a shit
January 26th, 2020 at 8:42 AM ^
January 26th, 2020 at 9:28 AM ^
They are correct.
