ESPN on good guy Brandon Graham

I posted this under UM players in the Super Bowl but if you missed it, ESPN did a really nice piece on BG. Good guy doing good things. We get enough of the other kind of news unfortunately. Sorry for the potential redundancy.

Brandon was a bad ass at Michigan. He continued his bad-assedness in the NFL when the Eagles drafted him in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. He will be that rare man of character who plays, and plays well, for the same team for his entire career.  Philly’s blessed to have him, as were we.

This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it, as I'd missed it before. Inspiring to say the least... Famous NFL player or not, we can all look for ways to make an impact in our communities the way BG has.

Davy, I think this reflects the character and helping student athletes grow into responsible adults who impact their communities.  We see it today in the actions of several players - including Blake, JJ, and Moody.

Character counts and I’m glad it’s an emphasis at Michigan.

And, as an aside, I’m glad Michigan’s training facilities don’t have a kiddie slide or putt putt golf course - as certain other P5 facilities do.

It's hard to believe the amount of time that Brandon Graham has been playing in the NFL is about the same amount of time as when we won the National Championship and he was drafted.

Met B Graham at a BP gas station on the Eastside, he was like a freshman or soph at UM. Saw him again at Eastland Mall, this time he was with his grandmother. Upon meeting her I tried to shake her hand and she gave me a big hug instead. One of the Eastside's Finest!

As an Eagles fan who watch Graham basically be the only player to hold the defense at Michigan together when I was a student there, he’s one of my favorite players ever.

Not to mention he made probably the biggest play in Eagles history to seal the victory against another former Wolverine!
