so nervous. We are so damn close to a title. I just don't want to get let down and I have a feeling I will. When something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

they pointed out how Siva gets into foul trouble. If Burke can get him to commit a couple early fouls, then they will feel the absence of Ware.

I think our guards have to treat Smith and Siva like they have 4 fouls.

L'ville admitted they went zone at the beginning of the Wichita St. game to protect those guys and try to shorten the game. The goal was to be in the game with 30 minutes to play, then attack.

I'm not saying they're going to do that vs. us, but we have to take advantage of any lack of aggressiveness.

My three favorite Michigan sports are football, hockey, and basketball. I've seen the first two come right to the brink where I think they're going to win the national title. Football in 2006-2007 loses at Ohio just barely in the biggest game of the year. Hockey in 2010-2011 loses the national championship game in OT.

I want to believe we can win, but I have the experience of pain holding me up. I hope we break through

"Some fans have taken to calling the school Mitchigan"

Jalen Rose - "I don't know about all that." lol

It is amazing when you think Rose is 1 inch shorter than Mitch!

Please win guys. Please. I'm tired of having painful losses in championship games.

Hockey has killed me recently.

Just win.

Man, I've been watching a lot of the pre game stuff all day and I'm so sick of guys like Seth Greenberg, Bilas, etc., talking about how great Louisville is and the different defenses they deploy and as they're explaining things about how the game will go and you could almost tell they're not believing what they're saying and they picked Louisville early and they're sticking with it.

Annoying as hell, we are gonna win this game and there's a damn good chance we run this team out of the gym, we are the better team, especially with Mitch emerging.

Michigan 85  Louisville 73

National Champions for 2013!!!

He may be the worst college basketball coach to every have a major job in history. Other than Ellerbe.

They had spent most of yesterday speaking of how consistant Lousiville had played and how Michigan had falled apart in the second half.  Not considering standard momentum shifts, our free throw percentage looking pretty bad and Syracuse coming out extra hard, I am not quite sure falling apart is quite accurite.  On the other hand, Lousiville was down 12 points before getting fired up again and roaring back to the lead yet still keeping it close.  One controversal call later and its Lousiville ball again to add a few points and kill off the clock.  Watching both games, as I am sure we all - if not every expert as well - have, I don't really find all the Louisville bias refreshing in any way.  Not because I don't dislike (double negative) the Big East or Louisville or because I like Michigan, but the matchup really actually seems rather good.  Especially considering that Louisville had to have said rally against 9-seed Shockers, who admitedly did a fantastic job up to that point, but no one really expected to get that far.  We, on the other hand, faced off against 4-seed Syracuse, whos crazy zone scheme was messing with everyones heads and feet and causing them to do the competition like flies.  Just sayin.  ESPN really needs to stop the hatin and just call out nice facts, stats, and maybe some predictions without going too far over the top

I haven't posted in the OPEN thread all Tournament so I'm not going to now...

But I had to vent to someone, a few halftime thoughts.

#1 Spike, yes.

#2 These refs are a fucking JOKE...everything is not a jump ball, McGary got undercut almost into the basket, L'ville is grabbing and holding...which is fine, but don't call the same thing on Michigan

#3 Coach B was almost perfect in that half, but leaving LeVert on Hancock was a HORRIBLE idea. We should've moved THJ to guard him, he has a much better court awareness. LeVErt is always looking behind him to see where the screen is coming from rather than guarding his man.

All in all, awesome game, kind of a joke in a few ways...but we're up 1 and we're 20 minutes away from cutting down the nets.

LET EM HANG!
