Enough Moping - There is Good Football Today
Mates,
Enough of the grim post-mortem, what's done is done. Bless those seniors and lets look forward to 2017.
As a bonus, there are some pretty good football games today. With the points, they include
Underdog Spread Favorite
Louisville +4 LSU
Kentucky +4 Georgia Tech
Clemson +2 ohio
Washington +14 Bama
Pick 'em with the points. Who do you think will win, as opposed to who do you want to win?
Happy New Year,
XM

I'm taking Louisville, Georgia Tech, OSU and Bama
The most intriguing thing to me today though is that Chris Petersen is something like 5-0 vs AP Top 10 teams. Obviously Bama is Bama, but Petersen is likely a top 5 coach in CFB and I really don't think Washington is just going to roll over and die tonight

And I'll mope if I want to, mope if I want to...I echo the thoughts of many. I will have the playoff on, but it will be background while doing other things. Once Michigan is done, I have a hard time getting excited for other games.

Could not care less about Louisville-LSU or Georgia Tech whoever. Sorry to be negative in your kumbaya thread, but it's too soon to give any fucks about other football programs.
I just want to see Ohio State lose. Conveniently, I would be good with UW winning since they are neither annoying or dirty. Which is also why I want to see Alabama or Clemson lose. Go Huskies a million times over. The unlikeliest outcome is of course the one I can actually stomach. Kind of think they have a chance with their playmakers; and then kind of don't against AL D.

Not enough moping yet for me.
I'll be better tonight when Ohio State loses and the ball drops.

How is LSU without Fournette going to score points? They barely could with the best RB in the country. Without him...yeah...Louisville has a good chance even though the regular season ended with a thud.

Indeed. Not in the Cards (ha!). That team quit on the season like Petrino quit on the Falcons.
Anyway, this is why I do not bet on sports. Which...admittedly, is probably not much worse than betting on REITs but still.

The Orange Bowl was well attended and everyone there was into it.
The problem is not bowl games, the problem is bad bowl games.

This. Every other year, I'd be watching bowl games like crazy and loving every second of it. Now, it seems like they're all at weird times, have teams I don't care about, matchups that don't mean anything, and fanbases that don't even really care they're happening.
Think back to the last time Michigan was in the Orange Bowl, compared to now. I felt like nobody gave a crap about yesterday's game--no buildup, no enthusiasm, didn't feel like the players were even really enjoying themselves. It was depressing. That's what bowl season has become.

That is the silver lining. No matter what happens, some douche bag is going to be in near-tears on National TV tonight. Yay.

But bowl games are exhibition games unless you're in the playoffs. Also, its college football. It's a game. Not worth it letting a football game ruin your day. As 2016 showed us, life is short and you never know how many days you have left. Less than yesterday for sure so don't let a silly college football game ruin one of the few you got left. That being said:
LSU
GT
Clemson (wins by 3)
UW (loses by 10)
These picks are why I don't bet.
Also, M is winning 10 games a year again. They're good again. Enjoy it people. Can't wait to see all the young kids next year, if I make it to then, and Go Blue!

Here's hoping for a NYG win/Wash loss today as I don't see the lions beating GB the way GB is playing.
