Blue in PA

Soooooooo what if no one offers Pep a job?  We're stuck with him like that adult son that refuses to move out of the basement and because of the other half of the parenting duo, he won't be kicked out?

I hope not, because he'll eat all the food and stink the place up.

With Al Washington taking over LB/ST, where does that leave Partridge? Weren’t those his roles?

to assist the OC (co-OC's) this season.  People had shit-fits about Hoke and the headset ... but I can't figure out why our OC isn't up in the pressbox.  IMO, play calling needs to be away from on field distractions, at a level that can see defensive assignments and rotations.

The Tyler Friday news has me questioning whether the arrival of Washington, perhaps as heir apparent to DL coach as many have speculated, led to negative recruiting about the time remaining in Mattison's career, which could easily sway recruits.

That's possible but, unless a kid either follows a script quite unlike other recruits or flips on the basis of a bowl game, your hypothesis doesn't explain why he and his family had that long, multi-part biographical interview with Sam Webb in December. That's typically as strong of an "I'm commitin' " heuristic as exists in the recruiting realm. So it's fair to wonder what changed. My post enters at that point and provides one of many plausible hypotheses. As for the being successful thing. 2017 was a trash year for the O and STs, but Michigan has probably had the best Big Ten total D and DL (on average these three years) since Harbaugh's arrival. That discounts wins, obviously, but it emphasizes the success and training that Friday could expect for himself and his D-mates at Michigan.

Except this does nothing in the world to benefit the employee, while the employer controls all of the information during negotiations. Ive had a prospective employer lie to my face about how they don’t pay any of their staff my asking price. I knew exactly how much they made because I asked them. Their disclosure improved my life and didn’t harm them at all.

I have a sincere question:  Why?

I can't see a valid reason an employer would want to hide how much they're paying their employees.  That attitude is what allows employers to exploit their workforce instead of treating them all equally (most notably with the gender pay discrepancy).
