Random question:
If M-Den is the official merchandise retailer of Michigan Athletics, can the Athletic Department ask them not to carry the book? (likewise with say, 3 and Out, which doesn't paint them in a flattering light).
I would have thought that the AD would be able to approve what is sold at their official outlet store.

to pull the merchandise from the store, but it's not going to stop the book and I would imagine the possibility of bad press would be enormous.
If Brandon was still in place, I could see him trying to block it. The people in place now really have nothing to lose by allowing the book to be sold.

Not certain about Three and Out, but Fourth and Long was definitely for sale at the MDen on State Street last year.

Ha if Endzone taught us anything, it's that Bandon would never do anything like that "personally." He'd have one of his lackies with a firm crease in his pants do it for him via executive order.

If he thought "Three and Out" was bullshit, I can't imagine what he thinks of Bacon's latest tome.

Picked mine up yesterday. I'm only a few chapters in but it's looking to be a great read.

just curious, what is the price people have seen on this?
I've seen over 25 in some places, I was able to pre order at amazon for 15 bucks
August 31st, 2015 at 10:27 AM ^
I ordered Amazon Prime for $13.98 (plus I'm assuming some other fees/tax) so I'd call it $15 out the door.

It all depends on when you ordered it, Amazon constantly updates their prices. I have Prime and pre-ordered relatively late and paid $15.70 plus tax. I got an email this morning saying I will have it tomorrow.
August 31st, 2015 at 12:30 PM ^
Everywhere I looked online it was between $15-$18. It's still $15.70 on Amazon, and if you are a Prime member it will cost $3.99 to have it delivered tomorrow.

Anyone know if there's a way to get an "e-version" (ie. kindle) and a hard copy without buying it twice? Wished there was likea bundle for both for like $20.

sent Brandon a signed copy? I would have.

I got my copy in the mail on Friday from Barnes and Noble -- don't know why . In any event, I'm about 375 pages into the book -- I was so engrossed I missed Arrieta's no-hitter last night (and I write about baseball).
A couple of notes that I haven't seen elsewhere (although I could have missed them):
-- All the stuff about Brady Hoke taking the job without knowing how much he would be paid was pretty much staged by Brandon who wanted to replicate some Bo quotes. Also because it was handled that way, Hoke's agent was able to get hundreds of thousands more, since Brandon pretty much had to give Hoke what he wanted at that point.
-- One of Hoke's first questions to Brandon after accepting the job was about Tate Forcier's situation. He wanted to use Forcier at QB and move Denard off the position. Doesn't that pretty much tell you why the offense deteriorated.
-- You will have an even better appreciation of Devin Gardner after reading this book and seeing how poorly he was treated by Hoke/Borges and to some extent Nussmeier.
Lots of great stuff (although there is some repetition and a number of typos I would have expected to have been cleaned up by the editiors).
