"At this point I'd be surprised if Peoples-Jones ended up anywhere but Ann Arbor."

"
Heading into his junior season Peoples-Jones erupted as a national recruit after winning The Opening Finals Nike Football Rating championship competing alongside many of the nation's top prospects who were a year older. He ran a 4.42 laser-time 40-yard dash with a 42-inch vertical leap."

Already posted in different(Wrong) thread...

But, for what was billed as a huge recruiting weekend, I feel like it was all Crickets on all the message boards...  Was disappointed to see it so quiet...

The biggest news out of this huge weekend seemed to be DPJ & OSU rumors, sadly...

It was unlikely that commits like DPJ who ESPN would love to have announce on national TV would announce their commitments like bandits in the night during a snowstorm 3 days earlier for no reason other than to make fans feel better. This is their moment, let them enjoy it. Publicity like this is good for our program too (assuming he picks us off course).

Not sure what you were expecting, but it seems to me the news from this weekend may end up looking pretty good.  As others have said, it's unlikely than any of these visitors was gonig to announce their commitment while on campus.

Tarik Black - surprise visitor who just announced his commitment date will be this Wed.  Seems like a good thing to me.

DPJ - choosing to ignore the (likely) false rumor and see an announced commitment date for this Thurs as a good thing.

Najee - reports are that the visit went very well and Michigan feels good about their chances.  Can't ask for much more than that at this point.  No way he filps from Bama without talking to them first.

Singleton - still going through the process, but would be a surprise if he ended up anywhere else.  FWIW, a Clemson (biggest presumed threat) insider just ballz'd him to Michigan this morning.

DIB - will be Blue in the end.

I was not 'expecting' anything... Was just odd to me, that for such a big weekend that is was billed to be, that there was little to no information being put forth... Not so much 'news that someone committed', just usually more information is out there for such big weekends... I was not saying that I am being pessimistic about how the weekend went, or that I am expecting something crazy to happen, I just thought that it would not have been so quiet across the boards out there...

I think we may be seeing why that was the case.  Aside from most of these kids being quiet recruits in general, it appears that perhaps there was a coordinated effort to keep the chatter to a minimum this weekend, so that a number these recruits could line up and make their own announcements in the next two weeks.

Purely speculation on my part, but I'm obviously not alone.

Black was a surprise visitor who's announcing Wed. DPJ just set an announcement for Thursday. There were reports that he was recruiting Harris for us during the visit. Irving-Bey got a Michigan crystal ball from Lorenz. Singleton got a Michigan crystal ball from a Clemson writer, our main competition for him. Harris was reported to have a good time and brought a lot of people with him.

It's usually quiet during a visit, but I guess if you ignore every bit of good news you're going to be disappointed.
