Does anyone really believe there was a QB competition in practice?

I’m sorry but there is no way Cade could look so bad in practice that he couldn’t start over this.

There wasn’t a serious QB competition in practice this week. Harbaugh’s ego just refuses to acknowledge the reality that his pet QB project for this season is an utter failure.

Lakeyale13 thanks for posting this.  I could not agree more.  When Dylan saw his name listed 3rd on depth chart he knew it was game over.  He is smart, knew the offense, could read the defense, could run and run the RPO.  We would have beaten MSU and maybe Indiana with either Dylan or Cade.

not sure if it was Harbaugh or Gattis that picked Joe over the other 2 guys, but I don't blame Dylan for transferring.  Northwestern is thriving with a smart, 5th year guy at QB.  Dylan could end up at NW and run their true spread.

Nope.

And now there can be no more denial about who the real qb on this team is.

No more Cam 2.0 kool-aid.

Dude. McNamara hit a WIDE OPEN wr for a td.

And had 3 good throws last week.

Milton's best plays this year are miles ahead of what McNamara has done. The ceiling is clearly higher with Milton, it's the coaching, WRs n OL failing him, as well as occasional inaccuracies and indecision.

McNamara is not the QB that's gonna get Michigan past teams like osu. Maybe Milton isn't either, but Shealite is not gonna be the answer.

Milton has made NFL throws. And had MULTIPLE drops and blown assignments on the line. With better coaching and play calling he'd be a star. Where were these screens and check downs when Milton was in? He's been failed, flat out.

I'd love for McNamara to come in and be a game changer. The ceiling is undoubtedly lower with him in, though. It is what it is.

Two games in a row, M's offense is struggling with Milton, McNamara comes in and scores.  McNamara's passes have a nice touch, you can see the ball just drop in for the receiver to catch.

I don't know what you're watching, but Milton can barely hit anything beyond 7 yards.

BULLSHIT. YOURE WRONG.

Watch the play in slow mo.  He threw in anticipation of him getting open but hadn't cleared the db yet   Wasn't open yet at all.

Milton hasn't done that once all year.  And WIDE OPEN wr he overthrew over and ovee.  Cade hasn't overgrown a wide open wr yet. Open your fucking eyes.

Great play by Cade.

I'll gladly eat my words and admit being wrong if McNamara ends up being a great QB. To me he looks like a middle tier B1G guy. M needs a gamebreaker. They took a chance and thought Milton would be that guy.

Prove me wrong, Cade. I'd love it.

Shea lite??

let me be perfectly frank, I’ve been watching Michigan football since I was a little kid. I’m 44 years old. I’ve watched this kid throw 4 of the best dimes I’ve seen since Chad Henne was at QB.
this kid is a baller!

He may not be the future but he is MILES ahead of Milton.

Calm down man. Shea made some great throws at Michigan, too.

You're a prisoner of the moment, just like everyone else is right now.

Screw it, I'll hop on the McNamara Train if he leads this comeback against Rutgers tonight. At this point we all just wanna see M win a game.

Are you serious?

Michigan never had a lead against:

-Michigan State
-Indiana
-Wisconsin

Is there anything which makes you believe that Milton would have brought Michigan back against Rutgers? Let that sink in for a moment. You can talk about WR's and the O-Line but what exactly are these 'best plays' Milton has made?

McNamara has been throwing to the same WR's and has the same O-Line blocking for him. I'm sure that Milton is a good kid but right now, he is not a good B1G starting QB and McNamara has shown the ability to move the team up and down the field and score.

I will never understand this coaching staff. One thing that I just don't get is that when you look at OSU (and others, this is just an easy example) they have "feature" players....Elliot, Weber, Olave, Dobbins, Samuel, etc. Those are impact players who have opportunity after opportunity in every game. Michigan seems to do everything "by committee". No one has any chance to get into a rhythm, because each skill position group seems to be a revolving door. It seems stupid.
