Does anyone have a Rutgers visitor list for the game?
November 10th, 2018 at 7:43 AM ^
I had one. I burned it and now it's Ash's.
November 10th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Ouch!
November 10th, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^

You all are some harsh mother fuckers

You all?
November 10th, 2018 at 7:18 AM ^
More than a couple... I read a number of snarky responses, I just consolidated my feedback.
November 10th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
All y'all.
November 10th, 2018 at 9:57 AM ^
Michigan is taking on it's biggest rival today so we're a little on edge
November 10th, 2018 at 8:19 AM ^
Username does not check out.
November 10th, 2018 at 12:09 AM ^
it's their biggest recruiting weekend and UM isnt looking at any of the 2019 kids there
November 10th, 2018 at 12:12 AM ^
Yeah but which decent recruits can we potentially convince to look elsewhere tomorrow?
November 10th, 2018 at 12:12 AM ^
Double post. Damn Two-Face!!!

November 10th, 2018 at 5:26 AM ^
Actually, it is a brilliant move by Rugrats, er I mean Rutgers. See, the Rutgers' coaches want to show the recruits they are resilient and can take a beating AND still have a great time while it is happening.
November 10th, 2018 at 2:53 PM ^
They'll be showing them that playing time is immediately available.
November 10th, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
The Middlesex County jail will update their inmate list in the morning, so we'll have a better idea then.
November 10th, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
Yes:
1) Ruin
2) Despair
3) Agony
November 10th, 2018 at 12:50 AM ^
4) Carl Spackler
November 10th, 2018 at 12:22 AM ^
You would think chris ash would have learned a lesson from last time not to invite recruits, hell, they shouldn't even have their fan come and watch.
November 10th, 2018 at 12:37 AM ^
hell, they shouldn't even have their fan come and watch.
They don't.
November 10th, 2018 at 1:28 AM ^
Is there even a Rutger blog to track this?
November 10th, 2018 at 1:28 AM ^
You stated that it was rutger' biggest recruiting weekend when Michigan played at rutger in 2016. So, did they have two visitors?
November 10th, 2018 at 1:44 AM ^
According to this article, they were expecting up to 200 recruits. Jeremy Ruckert and Isaiah Wilson were two of the headliners.
November 10th, 2018 at 2:30 AM ^
here you go:
https://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2018/11/which_top_recruits_will_visit
lol’d at the intro
“Michigan is coming to town Saturday, hence, there will be a ton of recruits on campus to see how Rutgers holds up against its "recruiting rival." One team is in line for the college football playoffs while the other has one win. But what a statement it would be for Rutgers to compete against a top national program in front of the top recruits in the area.”
November 10th, 2018 at 7:40 AM ^
“Come to Rutger, where we compete to not get blown out every week”
i can totally see how that resonates with blue chip recruits.
November 10th, 2018 at 11:33 AM ^
Well, it's still a free college degree.
November 10th, 2018 at 1:05 PM ^
....a rutger degree no less.
November 10th, 2018 at 8:13 AM ^
Holy shit! This is real!!! I followed the link, and yeah - big recruiting weekend for Rutger!! It's not 200 croot big, but they actually have some 3-starz visiting. Color me surprised, I thought they'd be looking at 2-star and lower (or unrated) kids. Because, and lets be serious here, they may be in the B1G (ugh) but they are barely a G5 bottom feeder.
Fuck you, Delaney.
November 10th, 2018 at 10:18 AM ^
Not contradicting anything in your post but those 3 stars have their own networks and come from schools that may produce 4 and 5 stars in the future so it’s still an opportunity make an impression.
November 10th, 2018 at 3:44 PM ^
They have a 6-5, 290 4* OL. Interestingly, they also have a 6-5, 310 DT from Paramus scheduled to attend.
There is also Christian Abraham, a 3* 5-11, 190 RB/DB from Paramus who has a Michigan offer (Class of 2021, the other two are both 2020).
November 10th, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
hey now when it comes to rutger recruiting i don't mess around
November 10th, 2018 at 2:42 AM ^
Official visit: Thomas Armstrong, 2019 DE, Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) Armstrong will be on an official visit to Rutges this weekend. Despite playing defensive end in high school, Rutgers is giving him a real hard look at outside linebacker. He is a 6-3, 220-pound senior.
Instead of visiting Rutgers, this recruit is visiting Rutges, a derivative of rutger.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:55 AM ^
“Rutges” is actually closer phonetically to the facetious pronounciation my wife and I use: Rut-GIZ
November 10th, 2018 at 5:47 AM ^
Just saw an article that said Arthur Sitkowski was going to be on campus with them AGAIN this weekend. There's NO way this kid picks The Rutgers over a scholly to Miami, but he does seem to be sporting ALOT of The Rutgers gear in all the weekend updates...looks like they even let him suit up, which has to be some kind of violation. SMH. Crootin'. ?♂️
November 10th, 2018 at 8:16 AM ^
Dude was a natural fit for Rutger - he spells his name without the 'h': Artur. True story...
November 10th, 2018 at 6:19 AM ^
Another random tenuous question thread.
November 10th, 2018 at 6:43 AM ^
Michigan is officially visiting. Rutgers does not want this commitment.
November 10th, 2018 at 10:35 AM ^
We're giving them a 100% commitable ass-kicking.
November 10th, 2018 at 7:23 AM ^
Two years ago the program hadn't quite fully cratered, so it was reasonable to have recruits. Who would want to go there now and endure a physical and emotional beatdown every Saturday.
Can you believe Rutgers had commitments from both Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor?

INSIDER INFO: Buddy from school whose neighbor's daughter is dating a trainer for The Rutgers football just posted a partial transcript of Ash addressing the team in their final walk-through last night...hope our guys see this and are ready:
"Alright, men! Listen up! Tomorrow is our BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR. IT'S GONNA BE MICHIGAN! MICHIGAN AGAIN!
"The other coaches and I have determined that due to B1G travel restrictions, they have to leave THIRTY guys behind in Ann Arbor! Thank God. But, WE'LL have ALL OUR GUYS!!
"Is that you crying, Watson?!? Stop crying!! We're gonna FENCE THE GARDEN!!!! But NOT like last time!!
"THIS TIME, we're gonna lay low in the first half and let THEM wear themselves out! They don't wanna hurt nobody, because they're a big fancy contender...oooooo, look at Meeechigan, they're contenders. HEY, we INVENTED football out here!
"So, we're gonna keep it vanilla in the first half and let 'em put a few on the board if we have to...30, maybe 40 tops.
"But in the second half, when they bring in the freshmen, we're KICKING THEIR ASS! Lots of yards! If we get to 16 yards, we'll have outrushed Sparty! Imagine when the recruits see THAT!! PROGRESS!!! So, kinda like last time, but with YARDS!!! Points would be great, too, but hey...
"This is important though. You have to make it to the second half. Got that?
"Artur! If you see #10, don't run! I like you, son, but you're not that fast. He will kill you because he is fast...and mean. Just throw the ball as far as you can...probably to me, but not where I might get accidentally hit. Got that?"
"Yes, coach."
"Also, REALLY watch out for #15, #3, #5, #14, #7 and holy hell #6 too...actually, men...and I gotta be honest here...because I love ya...avoid anyone wearing a number!
'''Cause, second half...YARDS!!"
"I don't wanna go out there, coach."
"Me neither, son. Me neither. But this is RUTGER, which interestingly is a Dutch cognate for Roger, and we will continue to play B1G ball until we get relegated back to the Big East, God willing!!"

I am just trying to imagine the recruiting pitch for the Scarlet Knights:
"Yes, we all know what it looks like, but in 20-30 years, we're hoping it looks a little better.....Iowa-ish perhaps, if get some lucky breaks."
November 10th, 2018 at 8:26 AM ^
I think it looks something like: "come here over Akron"
November 10th, 2018 at 8:49 AM ^
Is a Recruiting Rutger when you get twice as many of the home team's visiting recruits than they do?
An Official Recruiting Rutger is the same thing but only with the official visit recruits.
November 10th, 2018 at 9:19 AM ^
The Grim Reaper will be in attendance. He's a five star Rutgers recruit.
November 10th, 2018 at 10:22 AM ^
I won't be able to make it. That's all I know
November 10th, 2018 at 10:27 AM ^
I do not have the list; however, I'm confident it's full of lousy prospects who will collectively form a lousy football team over the next 4-6 years.
