Did he blow under a 0.6? 0.6-0.77 is a DUI and over 0.80 a DWI? I forgot the Michigan breathalizer criteria.
.08 is the legal limit in all 50 states.
turns out he had another one that was reduced to a non-dui conviction. so while it's a 'first' under michigan law, if you're looking at the substance of what he's got in his record, it's a 'third' and he needs to step away from coaching and get clean for a sustained period of time.
OWI starts at 0.08. I think they eliminated the 0.07-0.1 or greater than 0.1 distinction. Over 0.6 and he’s probably dead.
