Didn't know the Ohio St crowd was that loud on the long Donovan Edwards TD
An angle I hadn't seen before of the TD. Very loud. But Ohio St Fans were disappointed that day!
They started leaving early. You hate to see it.
"OLD MAN WILLIE! HE'S GOING ALL THE WAY!"
I love how it gets even louder as Edwards is waving his arms in the EZ. Had to be some M fans there making their contribution.
I watched the game again today. It was glorious.
Nothing better than seeing a bunch of cooler poopers near tears after the second Edwards TD
i wished several of my Buckeye friends (I live in Ohio) a Happy 4-5-23 Day today.
That is …. Beautiful
It’s 4/5/23 and AN ohio state University still sucks!
Never gets old!
1. In the words of Donovan himself, "Which one?"
2. From that angle, you'd think it was a 30-yard run. The man covered a ton of ground in incredibly few strides.
completely agree that Edward made that run seem so short. It seems like he beats that safety and then it’s only 10 more yards to the end zone, even though it’s a lot more.
Thought that too...like OSU's Robert Smith back in the day. Effortless.
A bit tangential to this post, but I've been trying to hunt down a Michigan vs OSU moment for a little while:
It happened during the 2021 game at the big house after Roman Wilson had his helmet ripped off and that fight ensued. As I remember it, while the referees were sorting out the penalties, the big screen focused in on Donovan Edwards (I think...) pumping the crowd up. There was a swagger about his reaction that encapsulated the confidence of the team and crowd. There was a feeling in the air that whole game that something was different and I have been hoping to track this moment down. It wasn't shown on the broadcast so it isn't in the standard YouTube videos.
Anyone capture that moment? Or even able to just confirm I didn't dream it up?
Yea the footage wasn't on the broadcast - listening to the crowd noise for it is tough too because there were replays being shown too that could have caused roars
To me that was THE moment the team's attitude felt different in that game. Although going back to watch it now I can see that they seemed to want to intimidate all game long.
Based on the camera angle the person who took the video must have been sitting in the Michigan section and yes we were really loud when that happened and for much of the rest of the game.
that guy standing there with the shirt over his shoulder looking dejected on the Don Thomas tweet to me is funny but only because i've known that misery so well
They were headed to watch the latest episode of Gomer Pyle.
Look at JJ’s hard run to his left freeze number 12 for Ohio State.
Which run was this?
The first or the second?
That was the first. He had to beat the safety to the sideline (I believe it was Ransom) whereas in the second he just popped between the hashes and never got near the sideline.
This was by far my favorite OSU reaction video. These guys are Canadian Bucknuts who drop F-bombs like they're in a Martin Scorsese movie yet they manage to do it in this way that still makes them seem so nice in a way only Canadians (and maybe Minnesotans?) can be while still carpet-bombing curses.
The first Donovan run is at 8:14... watch the face of the guy on the right. It's so worth it. The whole thing is a masterpiece of schadenfreude.
Also worth a watch: this low angle shot from the sideline on Donovan's second run (begins when he's halfway down the field)... so much fun goings-on on the M sideline and the harrumphing among the OSU fans picked up by the audio is just fantabulous.
I think the guy on the left IS Canadian. AT the 13:00 mark he said, "This is too much to proe-cess", not "prah-cess" like a Midwesterner would say. He was even wearing a tuque.
I always notice how Edwards sizes up Ransom and then hits the afterburners and pulls away. Legendary couple of runs
Gave me chills man...I'm still riding high from that 2021 win.
They knew they were about to witness greatness.
Since I’ve turned 40, we have been undefeated against an Ohio state school football team
Ohio State hasn't beaten Michigan since Nov 2019. It's getting further and further away.
omg this is awesome
yeah I remember that being the loudest the stadium had gotten for a couple qtrs. They had just scored and the feeling was if they stopped us they could score again and take the lead. That stadium was rocking. This play was amazing
Geez really? Move on dude.
