Day 1 ++

[Ed: This is good information but a little hard to read so I translated it below]

The boys are back in town!

First day of practice was fun, loud, and eye opening.

MW is in charge of offense and spends most of his time with the 4 QB's.

MS is running with Cink

The entire WR room looks NFL

DC is going to be a PROBLEM, dude is a freak.

JW and MM look like they are taking on the challenge to replace 2 NFL first rounders.

JC is faster and back from his lingering injury, will take a soph leap.

VO is a monster and might even be an upgrade.

All the freshman from TN and FL hang out together, hard telling which ones are the best, but legit all of them look like upperclassmen. Cink is going to have a nasty DB room for years to come.

Cheers

PS: XW might actually be the reason we have a new recruiting department, OC, and Director of recruiting operations.  Sounds like the whole thing may have been MD fault, which got him transferred (wink). It really pissed off JG, who apparently let everyone in his wake know about it, and pissed off some of the wrong people within the football program and administration.

Edited version:

First day of practice was fun, loud, and eye opening.

  • Matt Weiss is in charge of offense and spends most of his time with the 4 QB's.
  • Mike Sainristil is running with the cornerbacks
  • The entire WR room looks NFL
  • Darrius Clemons is going to be a PROBLEM, dude is a freak.
  • Julius Welschof? and Michael Morris look like they are taking on the challenge to replace 2 NFL first rounders.
  • Junior Colson is faster and back from his lingering injury, will take a soph leap.
  • Victor Oluwatimi is a monster and might even be an upgrade.
  • All the freshman from TN and FL hang out together, hard telling which ones are the best, but legit all of them look like upperclassmen. Clinkscale is going to have a nasty DB room for years to come.

Cheers

PS: Xavier Worthy might actually be the reason we have a new recruiting department, OC, and Director of recruiting operations. Sounds like the whole thing may have been Matt Dudek's fault, which got him transferred (wink). It really pissed off Josh Gattis, who apparently let everyone in his wake know about it, and pissed off some of the wrong people within the football program and administration.

This train wreck of a post starts before you even click to enter it.  The title makes many useless titles look amazing.  Then you enter and need your decoder ring to understand what the hell is going on.  All in, this user does this constantly and I don't care if he is an insider, he's a douche for continuing to do this when people have asked him not to.

While I would much prefer Ghost stop using the initials, if it is that important to you, I would much prefer the posts with initials to no posts as at all.

The challenges with the initials result in a post with useful insights that should create great conversation instead resulting in lots of bitching about the initials.

Other than some pretty fantastic rumors, wasn’t there some speculation/info that the Worthy issue was a boneheaded organizational mess with admission stuff and everything, something that was avoidable? This kind of verifies that.

Gattis’ issue then would be torching people in house for messing that up (and one could understand his frustration, if not his reaction) and behaving so toxically that he lost the trust of the higher-ups, which led to him choosing to take a train out when it was available. This is a guess, but a scenario that could fit the rumors here.

I've taken the time to translate:

Marriam-Webster is in charge of offense and spends most of his time with the 4 QB's.

MicroSoft is running with the kitchen sink

The entire WR room looks NFL

Destiny's Child is going to be a PROBLEM, dude is a freak.

James Worthy and Eminem look like they are taking on the challenge to replace 2 NFL first rounders.

JC from Nsync is faster and back from his lingering injury, will take a soph leap.

Ventress Opre is a monster and might even be an upgrade.

All the freshman from TN and FL hang out together, hard telling which ones are the best, but legit all of them look like upperclassmen. The kitchen sink is going to have a nasty DB room for years to come.

Cheers

PS: Xavier Worthy might actually be the reason we have a new recruiting department, OC, and Director of recruiting operations.  Sounds like the whole thing may have been Madd Dogg 2020's fault, which got him transferred (wink). It really pissed off Jeffrey the Giraffe, who apparently let everyone in his wake know about it, and pissed off some of the wrong people within the football program and administration.

Sainristil is working with Cink?  I don't know if this is good, we've had problems in the past with our football players spending too much time on the golf course.

No clue if this is true but it was clear early on Dudek was a complete tool. Glad he is gone

I’d also like to add it’s always funny this early takes when pads aren’t even on yet.

Thanks for the great intel!  I think the Xavier Worthy part may be the most interesting, and certainly explains some things.  Also, good to hear something positive after the last few days depressing basketball events.

Re: Dudek/Gattis, this isn't far off from the version I've pieced together. I think Dudek mismanaged their counters and didn't have one for Worthy, who was the last to enroll. Admissions could have worked with the program or forgive an honest mistake one time for a special player. Via someone who knows Worthy who DMs me, it was particularly unfortunate because Worthy is a gifted student who needed a counselor mid-high school to recognize he was a brain slumming it with friends in non-honors classes, and once he was given the right level of challenge with the honors kids he was smarter than all of them.

I get why Gattis would be pissed--he's the one who put in all this time to recruit the best WR in the country, only for another department to screw it up. That doesn't reflect badly on Gattis.

Re: Gattis thing. So if he pissed off the admin, whether he was justified in his frustration or not, doesn't that lend credibility to the statement that Gattis was not going to be the next HC if Harbaugh left?

Great post...

and hilarious the number of people pissed off at the initials....

Its not that hard to figure out and its way more info on the team than we are likely to get elsewhere w/o forking over a few..so keep it coming...initials or no initials.

All good info Seth. But that still leaves the mom sex piece still unpuzzled. I've been on Twitter they know things!  What. about. the mom sex.

Welschof at end ?  I say this won't happen, and it's just early.

Welschof at end was my November or December WAY TOO EARLY prediction for breakout player of 22. He's been on Bruce's "freaks" list like 3 of the past 4 years (which is pretty hilarious if you think about it), with Bruce completely air balling on Ojabo last year for Juice instead.

People keep talking about him on the interior, but he's always felt too tall and out of place to me.

Anywho, this isn't about Bruce Feldman, this is about how I am a modern day football Nostrodomus. If this comes to fruition, we can all thank me and my awesome power of manifestation!  And, of course, we can thank Juice too. I'm sure he'll have had something to do with it. But mostly me.

I hate reading the OP's threads due to the clandestine way he has to write everyone's names in initials like he's on a first name basis with each and every one or because it makes him look like an insider. The fact is most of what he writes is nothing new or already widely known, just surmising it all in a way that APPEARS to be insider info.

If you're frustrating your audience and making them go look up the team roster for reference are you really hitting your target? Are you achieving your purpose of informing your audience?

Obviously this guy never reads the comments on his threads or doesn't care because every time he gets this kind of reaction and never changes. Can he make a trip to Bolivia?

Let others complain, I like the secret squirrel code it was posted in. Gives me a reason to use the spy message decoder I got out of the cereal box all those years ago.

So Balas was correct on the Sainristil scoop. And he was essentially right on the Harbaugh scoop - Jim was absolutely planning on taking the Minnesota job before it fell through.

He seems to get a lot of hate around here, but that’s 2-for-2 in the last month.

Out of curiosity, what did he do to anger so many around here? Guys like Yoder and Gregg and that one weirdo Dreach or something like that are a given, but I’ve never understood why Balas gets so much flack. Granted I don’t follow him often so I may have missed something along the way, I assume?

As for the material and as I said during the Sainristil thread a few days back, Clemons is the player who really intrigues me. Even as crowded as our WR room is, he’s a different type of physical specimen that we don’t have so I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up forcing himself into a role - even if it’s limited like Anthony did last year. I was watching Sam’s early signing day special that night and when they interviewed him he was between workouts and you could just tell that effort and motivation will not be an issue for him. You add that to his size and ability to catch the ball and you have the makings of a high ceiling prospect who can probably play early.
