I would say unless you have a compound fracture and the bone is sticking out of the skin or one of your important organs stops working, you're playing.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:01 PM ^
Well, this is the issue with Edwards. Can he even catch the ball with a broken hand?
November 25th, 2022 at 3:07 PM ^
Based on prior performance, he only needs one hand.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:09 PM ^
Roman Wilson did a pretty darn good job of it last year against Penn State
November 25th, 2022 at 4:43 PM ^
Don’t forget his seamless and spectacular one handed grab last year v. ohio
November 25th, 2022 at 10:12 PM ^
Roman caught two touchdowns with a cast on against psu last year. I’d actually be much more worried about him running the ball than his work catching it as a receiver
November 25th, 2022 at 3:06 PM ^
Two of our football playing sons have played a number of games each with casts on one hand or the other.

This news is undoubtedly great to hear, but I'm also not surprised one bit. In fact, the only way I'll be surprised is if any of them are 'limited' in some way tomorrow afternoon.
November 25th, 2022 at 2:32 PM ^
My defensive pessimism has now shifted from "No way Corum's playing" to "No way he's anywhere near 100%."
November 25th, 2022 at 2:53 PM ^
He's not - it's actually 110%.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:04 PM ^
November 25th, 2022 at 3:07 PM ^
Technically speaking 110% is close to 100%.

November 25th, 2022 at 3:18 PM ^
It depends on your tolerance, right? like what if you were looking for 100% +/- 2%? Well, then you are five times off the mark.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:22 PM ^
I’m a Michigan fan. I have a high tolerance…for a many of things.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:46 AM ^
10% is not "close" in many respects. Context is everything.

What about Keegan?
November 25th, 2022 at 6:19 PM ^
What about Nikhai Hill Green? What about Trente Jones?
November 25th, 2022 at 7:22 PM ^
What about Nikhai Hill Green?
Based on the absolute zero chatter this year, I'm starting to wonder if NHG ever actually existed. Like, was he a figment of our imaginations last year and it was really Michael Barrett the whole time?
November 25th, 2022 at 2:32 PM ^
Hoping the osu coaching staff isn't reading this blog today. I'd hate to see us give away any advantage through the element of surprise.
November 25th, 2022 at 2:47 PM ^
If they're going to change their gameplan now, less than 24 hours before the game, they're boned.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:06 PM ^
I'd bet dollars to donuts that OSU has been preparing as though these guys are playing. they're not hinging their gameplans on the chance they'll discover some inside intel on a message board.
November 25th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
Jim Knowles already said earlier this week that they're preparing as if everybody was playing this week.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:12 PM ^
I heard it from someone at practice that Michigan is going to begin their first offensive series running the triple option, then the wishbone, then the fullhouse and I hope that Ryan Day is not reading this as I wouldn't want to give him time to prepare for it.

Hope the "source" is not an OSU mole handing out "misinformation."

Buckeye Chuck is actually their quarterbacks coach

November 25th, 2022 at 2:37 PM ^
I'm sure this source saw them but I could have told you this a minute after last week's game ended. Blake Corum may not be able to feel his legs below his waist but he'll play, and my guess is Edwards will at least give it a go (he was apparently warming up on the field before the second half of last week's game). Schoonmaker and Morris were apparently dressed before last week's game so I assume that was a "Illinois isn't worth getting guys potential hurt" type of decision.
So yeah, I'd be shocked if anyone who hasn't been ruled out for the year doesn't at least warm up tomorrow, if not get some reps.

Keegan?!?!
November 25th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
I have no info on Keegan so who knows.
November 25th, 2022 at 9:06 PM ^
Said it on a different thread, Morris is the only one to be concerned about. On Tuesday there was talk he may not make the trip. As it happens, he did practice (limited) and did make the trip.
And btw Donovan doesn’t have a broken hand. It’s his thumb.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:00 PM ^
I am Blake Corum's mom and I can verify
November 25th, 2022 at 3:02 PM ^
Honest question. Harbaugh has indicated in the past that injury statuses can confer competitive advantages, and he has preferred to keep mum on same. Yet, we get info about what's going at practices (not trying to criticize OP). Now, I assume the injury status info is not that useful to OSU bc they already assumed such info but I would bet that the plays we are focusing on this week would be very useful to OSU. What gives us assurance (if any) that OSU doesn't get inside info on our prep practices for The Game?
Is the answer that this source is comfortable revealing injury statuses but not the type of plays we are practicing this week? It just seems that if one side is motivated enough, such info could be gotten when the stakes are so high.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:07 PM ^
The Vegas line slightly moved to OSU -8 today. That concerns me a bit. The casinos are the ultimate insiders. It's their job, after all. If the casinos discovered Corum AND Edwards are playing, no way that line gets worse. It could only get better.
My guess? Corum plays, but isnt at 100%. Edwards doesnt play. Schoonmaker plays. Morris plays.
If Corum, Edwards, Schoonmaker and Morris were all playing tomorrow, there is no way the line would be OSU -8. Michigan's style of play, with those 4 players returning, is the perfect style for defeating OSU, just like UM proved last season. You dont put UM at +8 if UM basically has all it star players back, and is still playing the style of football OSU cant handle.

November 25th, 2022 at 3:15 PM ^
Did you see the Clemson/ND line? It's not what they expect to happen, it's what they think will bring money evenly on both sides.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:23 PM ^
It goes the same for any injury status of OSU players. Some type of information could have made its way about anyone of their offensive stars.
November 25th, 2022 at 3:36 PM ^
"No way the line would be OSU -8" seems like quite the assumption, unless you're a pro handicapper. Lines are off all the time.
November 25th, 2022 at 4:06 PM ^
Fuck your concern
November 25th, 2022 at 4:11 PM ^
Are you stupid? Your guess is Edwards doesn’t play when the OP just told you Edwards was playing. I don’t think you understand what that means.
November 25th, 2022 at 4:56 PM ^
Sports betting conspiracy posts are my favorite genre of comment. Lines can change based on where money is coming in and how they will maximize their profits. The line moving from 7.5 to 8 means nothing
