Comcast to have Big Ten Network still
For any of you Comcast customers. I have Dish Network and strongly recommend it. They have great technology.

imagine if they never came to an agreement. The world would have burned.

Already cut the cord for Hulu. Saving $100+/month. Very happy so far. Fuck Comtrash!

How much are you paying for internet?
August 24th, 2018 at 8:01 PM ^
Yeah that seems wild. I have comcast and I pay $135/mo for 300MB internet, HBO, HD cable, DVR, and sports package. Seems like a fair deal to me. I've had them 3 years now and haven't had any down time or speed issues. Maybe I'm lucky.
If I cut the cord, I'm looking at a $75 internet plan of similar speeds, $15 hulu, $15 HBO which already gets me to $105 and I'd have to find a way to get ESPN, BTN and FS1. At best, what I save can cover a week of starbucks.
So, for now, I'm not cutting the cord.

Same. I have a great AT&T package with incredible internet speed. Prices haven't motivated me to cut the cord at all. I must watch the wrong things, because I wouldn't be saving much money, if any at all.

Where do you live? I have virtually the same but am paying $200 (though also a land line,).

Same boat. I get hbo and a ton of channels for 40 dollars more a month than internet alone. If I piece meal things together with several services, I can get a no frills package with just the channels I want and save about 10 bucks a month. Or I can get my cable package with some extra channnels that might be interesting to me or my family when I’m bored and pay the 10 dollar premium.
For the record, I hate the cable companies, and I totally feel like they’re fucking me. The problem is that the only cable carrier is also the only internet carrier in my area. I wish I had google fiber or another internet altenative so I could capitalize on the savings. But for me 10 bucks a month to have a ton of extra channels plus the Convenience of not having to launch an individual application each time I want to watch a different channel is totally worth it

$135 for all of that sounds like you are in an area with competition. If I called Comcast asking for that package, they would tell me to prepare my anus.
August 24th, 2018 at 9:38 PM ^
$90 :(
We had one of Comcast's biggest packages and paid ~$250/mo. Now $90 for internet and $40 for Hulu. Figured we would pick up premium channels on an as needed basis i.e. When the last season of game of thrones comes out or other shows on our must see list.

40 for Hulu? Isn’t it only about 10 a month?
August 24th, 2018 at 7:49 PM ^
I’m saving abou $120. Absurd how much cable costs. Even with an expensive data plan as I work from home.

Hurray! I can keep stealing my parents' login info for the B1G app!

Holy shit! LOL
This literally made me laugh aloud. Well done! That guy was great.

I switched to Dish to a short time ago and have been thus far happy.
August 24th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
Unless you live in Florida. Or any other non-B1G State? Or did they reinstate this?
August 24th, 2018 at 7:30 PM ^
Yes, outer market premium service reinstated

"In the coming months" is what they say. Not soon enough. I'm keeping PS Vue until they figure it out.

Shocked, shocked that they'd come to an arrangement right before games start. Who could have seen this coming!

to little to late for me I switched to Direct TV when they cancelled the BTN in the Atlanta Market....I wonder how many customers they lost...STUPID on their part if they were going to keep it all along
August 24th, 2018 at 9:15 PM ^
I need to switch to Comcast. Right now, I pay them $105/mon for internet, and pay DirecTV ~$250/mon for TV service. I've had DTV for going on 30 years, but the AT&T buyout has not been good. The new channel guide and SW package is flat out horrible. And the price is pretty much out of reach. I've reached my breaking point with them - the price and guide SW don't make it worthwhile, anymore. Aside from that, I have zero problem with DTV and would highly recommended the service (and have many times).
Cord cutting isn't an option for me, because I have multiple TV's and want specific channels (Nick) that most don't offer. And I refuse to watch TV on a phone, tablet, or laptop. So I'm stuck with cable.

Hmmm....I don’t see it back on my Comcast guide yet here in Orlando.

Need Sports Entertainment Package and it's "in the coming months."
August 25th, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
I do have that package. Oh well...directv is scheduled to install on Friday. If it’s not back on by then, Comcast loses another customer.

Comcast sucks
