This is the thread for hot takes regarding the offense and offensive playcalling for our game against Colorado State.

The larger concern than the QB thing is the tackles weren't great.  As a tackle Keegan looked like a guard.  Trente Jones struggled in pass protection.  That was a big issue for Cade.  Need Hayes back healthy and RT will remain a question mark.

Looking to the Hawaii game, the forecast looks pretty wet.

Usually means more of the run game.  Could be more difficult to judge the QB play.

  • Edwards/Corum looked as expected
  • All/Schoonmaker looked as expected
  • The OL was a little hard to judge due to the injuries and subsequent shuffling, but Keegan and Zinter seem to be beasts while Trente Jones seemed solid but maybe a slight downgrade from Steuber. Still too early to tell though
  • Cade was obviously disappointing. Missed throws. Lots of check downs. Plays that resulted in ball thrown out of bounds that JJ likely could've extended or gotten positive yards out of. Didn't really see much if any improvement
