I very much hope this is significant.

Although I have as much faith as most of this site that the staff can turn O'Korn into a B+ or better quarterback, we simply cannot take the chance that 2016 is wasted because of poor quarterback play or an injury to a starter.  Every proven player is an extra ping pong ball in the tumbler, and Hill's upside makes him an obvious no-brainer insurance policy.

It's even better of an idea if Hill and O'Korn are both amenable to Hill playing a situational role.

Agree 100%. Next year's team looks like a playoff contender and 2017 figures to be a rebuilding year with a very inexperienced team. You never know what the future holds so Michigan must capitalize on 2016. And that means ensuring you have the best possible option at QB.

Next year's team with a healthy Hill would be deadly

I know this is not the proper way to construct and sustain a program, but can we do it just one more time?

We can stop anytime we want, I swear.  Just once more.

Seriously?  As compared to what exactly?

  • The overly excited poster on signing day?
  • A top 11 school choice for a high school kid?
  • National league and the designated hitter?
  • How people select their crystal balls on recruits?
  • Penn State's DC?
  • Michigan wildlife?
  • Gas prices in Hougton Michigan?

Seems to me like this one would be Hall of Fame material if we're grading on the curve.

Do not want. Fine, the transfer thing worked out with Rudock. But enough with QB transfers. How about DEVLOPING your OWN guys? Every year they need to get a one year rent-a-QB? It's doesn't make sense.

Hope we're done with QB transfers for now. We've got plenty of guys in house that can compete for the job, whether it's O'Korn, Morris, Speight, Malzone, or heck, even Peters.

If we do sign a transfer then so be it. Harbaugh knows a hell of a lot more about this game than I do, but as long as the best option goes out onto the field each snap, then so be it.

I agree....I could be completely wrong but why would you commit someplace where you have tom compete with everyone on the roster and a few grad tanagers too?

I hope this is the last transfer we take and that someone will emerge from the roster for stability.

How could anyone not want someone like that on the roster? Regardless of how good the options are that we have(which still are all unproven), we should welcome someone of that skill level. Injuries to quarterbacks are also of the flukiest type due to the lack of hits they generally take. He COULD be injury prone or he COULD have had bad luck the past two years. It should be a no-brainer for every team in the country to use a scholarship(For one year, mind you) on a player of his caliber at the quarterback position.

He's been mentioned so much in conjunction with Michigan that I've learned that his name is Taysom and not Tyson.  He's practically on the roster already.
