Gary of course looks like a beast, but I was really surprised at how good Kemp looks.

Was that Kemp at the end, or Jeter? Thought it was Jeter but at second glance looks like Kemp. He got way bigger if that was him.
Not sure now. I remember reading that Jeter asked for #2, but the official roster on mgoblue.com doesn't have freshman listed yet. I'm sure WD or someone who keeps track of this stuff could tell us.
Yeah I honestly don't know if Kemp changed or they are just letting them battle it out and then whoever is ahead in the depth chart will stick to #2 and the other guy will switch.
Happened last year with a number of guys that wanted #1 I believe.
Both are wearing #2. Ongoing competition.
We had 4 guys wearing #10 last year during camp and 3 wearing #1.
The 247 board says it's Kemp.
Edit: It IS Kemp. You can see his name above the #2 briefly before the drill starts.
Great. Him pushing at WDE would be a nice development.
Kemp must of spent months in the gym, he looks much bigger and tougher now.

Did you watch all the clips in the mlive article? Kemp looks way bigger/stronger at the point of attack -- the couple of appearances Jeter makes, he's getting blown back, while Kemp is doing the opposite. Part of this is almost definitely better technique on Kemp's part, but he also looks way bigger. So the fact that he and Jeter were about the same size as recruits implies that Kemp has indeed put on a lot of muscle in the last year.
You mentioned Kemp's size on the roster last season and equated it to Jeter's current size but I would think it's reasonable to believe that Kemp gained both size and strength since that information was updated, especially during winter conditioning.
Either way I think he looked bigger than Jeter in those clips. It'd be interesting to see what the updated roster numbers will be, even though they aren't always 100% accurate.
the first #2 in the clip is Jeter (notice he's wearing white and blue socks). The second #2 at end of clip is Kemp (notice he's wearing white socks only).
thats how you get better, 10 on intensity all around, its a beautiful thing. never bad when the best players and leaders (gary and hurst) keep practice live like that and make sure everyones putting out - bring the young guys along and they give you a chance!
Jeter and Hall looking good!
I forgot Jeter asked for #2. What number is Kemp now?
I miss football.
Completely random obesrvation, but I really like that the QBs have never worn red (or orange) no-contact jerseys under Harbaugh. I've always thought they were ridiculous.
I remember reading that Bo usually did the same thing, unless they were hurt. He allowed light contact on the QB, but also demanded that his defense had enough self-awareness to not cream their own QB. Seems like it would be very beneficial with how easily they call roughing the passer now.
Also random, but seeing maize pants with the away jerseys just looks odd now.
I was trying to figure out who that was. Those were some mansome blocks he was putting out.

255 was the weight he was listed at 2 years ago, during his sophmore year of high school!!
Oklahoma drill already. Nice!
TIL, there is a 5-10 FB from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia named Brian Chu.
my son plays drums at a School of Rock. They are learning "protest songs" for their next performance. I played Too Many Puppies for him the other day. He mentioned that to his instructor and they are adding that song to their set list.
I'm not sure I'd call them death metal. Wikipedia puts them in these genres:
Seems about right to me. They're like Rush on acid, an extreme amount of acid.
I do not like this song with salad,
I do not like this song it is pallid,
The comparison to Rush is invalid.

Too Many Puppies is not the best song to demonstrate the influence that Rush had on Primus, but Claypool has admitted that the guys in Rush are his heroes. There are a couple Primus songs that start with Rush riffs as an homage to the Canadian trio. The other reason I compared the two is that both bands make the bass a featured part of the group. Most groups pair the bass with the drums to set the rhythm and that's all they do. Rush and Primus explored the vast musical expanse that the bass could play in.
Additionally, in contrast to the overwrought emo bands and grunge bands of the era, Claypool and Lee both brought a sense of humor to their work.

MGoBlog had it first.
I can't wait MGoBlog to gush over the walk-on who catches the only TD pass during the fourth quarter of the spring game.
That guy might be Nate Schoenle.
