Champions Classic Open Thread: Sparty (Weird Guys) vs Duke, Now...Kansas vs Kentucky (9:00 ET)
Not much else to say. Should be some good basketball played tonight (well, maybe not good as it's early season, but entertaining). Not that we should root for them but seeing Duke annhilate Sparty tonight would make for an enjoyable evening...amirite?!
The better of the two games in my opinion will be the KU-UK game; two very talented rosters (Duke is loaded as well).

Pretty funny considering 3 of those teams have won a national title recently except one. It's also pretty funny since sparty isn't even the last B1G team to win a national championship.......

If you are going to have a Champions Classic, I think UCLA is pretty much a prerequisite.
I love having MSU in this event just to watch how little they belong in the this conversation anymore.

MSU just looks a step slow. They lost a lot from last year, but Izzo's recruiting (or at least his ability to maintain depth) seems to have left them a bit fallow. And yes, I know they lost that Kaminski before the season, but he should not be the beginning and end of your bench.

I hope the B1G refs become privy to it because that's his only move. He drives hard and lowers his head, then pushes off and extends, and then shoot at kind of fade away shot.
And if he makes it he talks all this shit and gets overly hype like he just won the game.

Yeah he looks quicker and more decisive. I think MSU ends up being a solid 15-20 team this year, but the next couple of years look pretty bleak.

Remember, Erazem Lorbek went pro about 12 years ago, and that produced a ripple effect that has left MSU where it is today. It's not Izzo's fault at all.
