The aura of invincibility of that program is gone. And that qb room next year, even if they get a transfer, is going to be average at best, behind an OL that will be average at best. Next year their continuing meltdown will be glorious.

Regarding a potential meltdown, we’ll have to wait and see next year. You’d think they’d be facing a murderers row with all the new incoming schools.

They don’t.

Their schedule next year is essentially a three game schedule. At Oregon, at Penn State, and home against Michigan. Beyond that, it’s cupcake city all the way.

I know they’re calling for Day’s head bc he’s a bitch but how attractive does this job become when you know you’ll be fired if there is just one game you don’t win? Top 5 job and huge comp but probably nothing more ruthless when you can make a fortune going 8-4 at Iowa every year.

I started watching the game late.  I used the Tivo "watch the key plays to catch up" functionality.

Over about 10 minutes, my thoughts turned from "By how much will anOSU beat Missouri?" to "What the hell is going on?" to "3 POINTS?! AND 5 MINUTES LEFT IN THE GAME?!"

I'm pondering headlines like "OSU runs off starting QB after 11-1 season, then completely shits bed."

If anOSU were a race car, it would now be a ball of fire, with its engine cartwheeling down the track, wheels arcing through the air in four different directions.

I haven't checked OSU scores from this past season but they rarely scored 30 or more points on offense all season. That includes McCord at QB, Harrison Jr at WR and a healthy Henderson at RB.

Only three points last night? Gotta love it. Yep, that once potent scoring machine has broken down. No engine, no wheels and no driver.

Let ‘em stew over the situation and chew their cud - that fanbase deserves 5+ years in the mediocre wilderness.

It will be a glorious offseason as they try to rebuild the image of OSU grandeur without MHJ/Fleming/McCord and this final game with an anemic offense. Day is facing a make-or-break season with his weakest squad.

Even the 11 Warriors crowd is referring to 3rd base …

Day isn't going anywhere.

10 straight NY6 bowls, he's still got a great record...and he hasn't even done the panic thing where he gives up playcalling or takes playcalling over or fires the OC.  When head coaches do that, that is when you know they're on their last leg.

Hell, it's what Harbaugh had to do. Clean house and start over with a new set of ACs.

It worked for Michigan.

I could see OSU doing that shake up this offseason and we'll see what happens next year. Regardless, it'll be their next AD that fires him, Gene Smith is done in June.

This comment from Ramzy Nasrullah has aged like fine wine:

Missouri is 3-star heaven. I expect them to play their asses off and still lose, which is what the Tigers do in the postseason. This is a program that consistently falls short in bowl games Ohio State would respectfully decline an invitation to play in, so let’s be serious. The Buckeyes will basically be playing Purdue-on-a-good-day in Dallas. Ohio State should win that game, no matter how lousy the aftertaste from November might still be. The negativity between your ears (and mine) aren't suiting up for this one, thankfully.

If you read 11 Warriors this morning-don't worry, I'm about to go shower-they are screaming for Day's head on a pike.  No imagination, not prepared, are we seeing the future when we don't have 5 stars at every offensive position-it's glorious.  I'd love to bottle it so I could drink it all year!

Edit:  Beaten by a second or two-it's still glorious, though.
