Bryce West Visiting Michigan this week on an Unofficial
Both Bryce West(https://247sports.com/player/bryce-west-46117234/) and Aaron Scott(https://247sports.com/player/aaron-scott-46129065/) will be visiting OSU together next weekend before supposedly making their college decisions, however it appears West is returning to Michigan this week.
West was in Ann Arbor two weekends ago, and an unofficial can only be a positive development. Glenville players historically go to OSU, but Michigan has been putting secondary players in the NFL at a much higher rate than OSU lately, not to mention the value of Clinkscale(OSU is on secondary coach #4 in the last 6 years).
No guarantees, but good news! Side note, I didn't realize OSU had 0 interceptions from cornerbacks in 2022 until this morning....That is wild.
We're talking about Elias Rudolph here, who is not a 5 star.....
Every mock draft out right now has JTT going in the first round
I wouldn’t say JTT and Sawyer are busts. Both are probably first round draft picks in next years NFL draft
At this point, they are busts. Between them, 2 top 5 players in the 2021 class, the only thing they have to show for it is JTT's PSU game and besides that they've done nothing. They could obviously have big junior years, but right now they have not lived up to their recruiting rankings
Also, let’s not forget the Bosa brothers and Chase Young who were high first round picks with Nick Bosa being the reigning NFL defensive player of the year.
Chase Young has barely done anything in the NFL and Nick Bosa last played at OSU 5 years ago. It is no longer Michigan living in the past, it's OSU
OSU has a lot of selling points to defensive line recruits
As of late, they really don't. Every single 5* DE who they've brought in since Chase Young left for the NFL to sit on the IR has underachieved
"while OSU has turned five stars Harrison and Sawyer into busts(JTT isn’t far from it either)"
Sawyer and JTT are both being mocked in the top 20 picks in next years draft...
Yes, it is the same situation as Rashan Gary. Premier ability and potential, not production.
For example, OSU is changing Sawyer's position from Jack to DE this year since playing the Jack was not successful for him: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2023/03/138121/jack-sawyer-getting-better-every-day-as-he-focuses-on-playing-defensive-end-full-time-this-spring
I'm not sure how Harrison is a bust.
47% of 5 star players don't get drafted at all.
5 star players are slightly MORE likely to go undrafted than to get drafted in the 1st two rounds.
Neither was Rod Moore.
