Can't argue with that. If he wanted to get away from home, no better spot than LSU, with two recent Heisman QBs.

I wish him well and hope we meet him in the playoffs next year, preferably at the Big House.

Presently live in the Fort Myers area and have seen Carter Smith play.  Very athletic -- similar to JJ.  I would assume the only thing you can knock the kid for is he likely isn't quite as polished as JJ at the same age because he spent his summers playing baseball and not in 7-on-7 competitions and football camps.  With his commitment, it will be interesting to see if he shifts focus next summer to more football related activities.  Also, I know several people who know him and his family and they say he is a great kid and great leader.

I have also spent a bit of time on the bayou.  I'll just say there is a reason Louisiana is one of the few states in the south where more people are moving out than moving in.  Baton Rouge is a bit isolated from the crud around it because it is a college town.  We will see how happy he and his family are there. I know I'm not a fan, but different strokes....

Is it Monday yet?  See y'all in Houston!

Well, he might win the Heisman and he will likely earn millions. The tradeoff is shitty education, minimal leadership development, marginal coaching and a 3rd place finish in the SEC.

Albeit, 100% his choice.

JFC, half the time we say the state if Michigan doesn't produce 5 star talent, but in a short span we had CJ Carr, Dante Moore, and now Bryce Underwood and we wiff on all 3. FUCK!!!

We are plying for the national championship on Monday yet all these recruits pick bama…Georgia…Ohio st….LSU.  I get the sentiment of trust the process but it really is baffling we can’t get one of these highly thought of 5 stars to commit last one was Will Johnson 2+ years ago.  Winning solves recruiting now the excuse is NIL.  Took 7 years to get a contender together and I’m not looking to fall back into how things were 4-5 seasons ago.  There’s zero hype in any of our recruiting or transfer situations.  End of rant.  Go blue beat UW.

"See you in the portal" when you commit to Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Miami, OSU, A&M or any other pay to play school while Davis will be leading Michigan to a playoff spot, and Smith chopping at the bits as a backup to do the same.

Wishing him well.

I just took a look and it appears the demand for Lamborghinis in SEC country continues to rise.

Culture gets my vote over cars.. seven days a week.

I worked for a long time for the formerly-named East Detroit Public Schools and as a youngster my grandparents moved from the Eastside of Detroit just north of 8 mile in Eastpointe and I spent much time there. It’s a very down-trodden community these days and this young man just made millions of dollars as a junior in High School growing up there. Of course being groomed as a QB since age 7 and going to Belleville has helped.

Doubt we see him in the portal. He’s as can’t miss of a QB prospect since Trevor Lawrence.

Underwood is a great prospect, but please tell us how many "can't miss QB" prospects in the past decade actually have panned out as quickly as Lawrence did, let alone at all? Besides, Lawrence went to what was then a current CFP level-program with a great defense, great coaching, and playing in a league which practically guaranteed a slot in the playoffs.

Underwood has currently decided to join an under-achieving program with an under-achieving HC. Time will tell, but calling him can't miss is over the top.

I get the money.

I get wanting to play for a pass-first team.

But Brian Kelly? Who would want to play for him? There are many better options he could have chosen. I don't get it.

Maybe 5 star QB's in Michigan aren't the best option and Michigan isn't sold on Carr, Moore, or even Underwood.  Remember Shane Morris?  Bust!!! He was the last 5 star must have Michigan QB.
